"If I tell him that, I think he'll make time. So I'll still check his schedule first." Sif said with an impish grin.
There was a brushing caress against Christine's mind, before Loki spoke. A soft way to get her attention. We're finishing up, Sweetling. What are you up to?
Would you like me to portal, or travel the old-fashioned way via walking? There's amusement in the voice. Definite pleasure in his mental voice, along with satisfaction and pride.
Sif simply raised an eyebrow. "We asked you a question--I doubt it was nothing." Freyja still had an impish grin on her face. "We promise not to laugh at you, but with you..."
Sif looked even more stunned, while Freyja just nodded. "Interesting, friend Christine. It is...a rare gift. I was aware Loki had learned how to manipulate people via their minds--to suggest things to them. But not that you both spoke to each other.
"I know his power of suggestion as well, I learned to resist it pretty early on. The telepathic connection has been a secret until now. It's very useful at times."
She feels a bit bad that it's not a secret anymore.
A look was shared between the two women, with a hint of smile. "WE won't tell, but you should be wary of prying ears." Sif said, while Freyja giggled. "We are in public." A pause, then she was leaning her chin on her hands on the table. "Is that why you suggested he might be training? you were talking to him?"
"That isn't a thing, Lady Christine." Freyja said, with some amusement, while Sif was shaking her head.
Fortunately, they were saved from further conversation by a commotion at the entrance. A familiar portal had popped up, and Loki stepped through. Dressed in Midgardian style, in a deep brown v-neck sweater over a green shirt with black tie (and that little half-circle tie pin) and black slacks. Closing the portal, he gave a little bow and a charming smile to the host. "My apologies. I'm joining some friends already seated." Blue-green eyes were already assessing the room, and found the ladies quickly.
From looks (and scent) no one could tell Loki had been training, as he moved to come join them. "Lady Freyja, Lady Sif. Please pardon my rude arrival." Despite the seeming 'asking' of the pardon, he was doing no such thing as there was insolence in his eyes.
Thank you. I've studied you often enough.
Sif rolled her eyes but was smiling. "And here Christine was telling us all your secrets." Freyja nodded, looking like a cat. "It has been a while Loki. I'm glad you could join us, even if it's late."
