He would have to leave her to judge, since cold didn't affect him very much. But he's conjuring a towel, and wrapping her up in it as he follows. Still feeling touchy-clingy, apparently, while nuzzling her. "You are my exception for a great many things, Sweetling."
Loki chuckles, conjuring a towel for himself as well. Leaning in to kiss her sweetly while they dried off. Never enough to work them up, but savoring her company and her.
"Many things are much cuter when they don't involve Thor." Loki commented like a true little brother. "The necklace I gave her should help as well, to keep her safe from trouble. She's likely safest if she attracts little notice. You're not the kind to make many enemies." He, on the other hand...
Plus she'd be guardian of a sanctum. That brought with it its own problems.
"He tempers Strange well--they balance each other." Was all Loki said about it. Wong, rightly, still regarded Loki warily. But the two could and had worked together. And like Strange, Wong was well aware that Loki was devoted to Christine.
"I'm going to love being there with you, that's certain." Loki replied, nuzzling her nose. "How soon are you thinking of moving?" Planning a wedding wouldn't be too difficult thanks to their use of portals. Loki had picked up the use of the sling ring quite quickly.
Kissing her forehead, recognizing that this was a big deal for her. "I am curious what you did end up telling them about the man who brought you flowers so long ago." He'd picked her up from the hospital a few times since, when he'd been in New York. They had gotten their dinner out, finally.
"Ah. I wondered why a few had insisted on introducing themselves, or asking me questions that required longer answers." Only a few though, and it was clear Loki was amused. "You'll miss the hospital though."
"With my 'assumed name'? They're idiots then." Loki said while chuckling. "I know you'll keep busy. *I'll* keep you busy if nothing else, most likely." Teasing her affectionately, with a soft and playful kiss.
Keeping it short and playful, before leaning his forehead against hers. "Dress warmly, since I've been told after dinner there's a snow-war between us. I won't have you surrendering early because it's too cold and you didn't dress properly."
"New apprentice or not, I'll keep you busy I assure you." Loki was grinning. "Remember, I tend to be a troublemaker." But he learned quickly--as she'd already seen. He wouldn't 'stay' an apprentice for very long.
"Good. Let's go find some warm clothing." By now they'd mastered the art of walking while holding each other. Despite that he didn't feel the cold as much, Loki still made sure to bring with him a warm long-jacket-style coat, with gloves and a scarf. Dinner was as informal as it could be in many ways, with no one standing on protocol much as everyone gathered around smaller tables. There were servants yes, but it was more like waitstaff than anything else. Felagi was making sure to be a good host for Carol, translating as needed but also being sure she was included in conversations.
"I'm walking into a world of chaos, aren't I?" Though she likes the unexpected nature of it. She thrives on a bit of chaos, it's why she had gone into trauma surgery.
Dinner is wonderfully casual, and her mom seems to be fitting in quite nicely. Christine has a sweater on and brought a coat and gloves with her for the snow warfare that they would have.
As Thor and Sif had hoped, having someone there who, at least appearance wise, was a match for Carol's age was a comfort. Felagi also could devote himself to being host and guide in a way neither they nor Loki or Christine could fully. He was a rarity, being one of the few Asgardians who was old to have survived and made it to Earth, but that just meant he often had a ready supply of listeners for his stories. As much as it was a bittersweet thing, the warrior had accepted he would not see Valhalla; he'd made his peace being a protector for others though, which meant living.
Once they're all out in the snow, it's very clear that snow battles and playing have been going on with some regularity. There are a few snow forts, some various sculptures, a horse drawn sleigh touring the town, and the hills have been commandeered for sledding. With a clearly-marked and safe landing area for each one to hopefully prevent accidents.
It was almost as soon as they were outside and a safe distance, before Loki vanished in a teleport. Reappearing several feet away and lobbing a snowball at Christine before he just vanished from perception. Cheating perhaps, but what did he care?
Christine knew proposing a snow fight against her frost giant was probably going to be a chaotic event.
He dissappears straight away and it's on. Christine has a shield up after he gets a hit in with that first snowball. She makes a few snowballs with magic that seem to orbit her, ready to be lobbed at Loki as soon as she figures out where he is.
and so it begins.
They're likely to end up with an audience; there haven't been many magic snowball fights out here.
Shields are cheating, Kjære. Loki teased. Nor was he making it easy to tell where he was due to the snow showing his location. Drifts blew up gently all over the place, disguising his movements. Occasionally more snowballs were lobbed her way, some even coming from portals.
There's still a chance to hit me, whereas a shield blocks that entirely. Spoken like a true troublemaker. Woe betide the person caught between their portals of snowballs. There are definitely a few who get splattered that way, and start picking sides. It is definitely turning into a snowball war, even if Loki keeps reappearing only to fade, or teleport, from view after throwing snowballs.
