"That's a very apt description actually." There is always a little order in chaos and chaos in order.

"I thought you'd understand." Satisfied, Loki leaned back and finished his wine. It wasn't necessarily a hard concept, but so many people made it far more complicated than it had to be. "This is why you don't 'control' chaos. You direct it, and adapt to flow with it."

"Just nudging the current."

She finishes her own wine and watches him, she seems eager to just look at him, to study his features.

He gave her a nod of approval, then did his best to politely ignore that he was being studied in turn. Mostly by assessing how much of the wine was left, along with the cheeses and honningkage. A few moments of quiet thought to himself as well before he broke it. Meeting her gaze directly. "This has been far more pleasant than I anticipated."

Seems fair that they get to study one another in turn.

"It has been, I'm glad you came over." The company has been wonderful and the kiss was pretty spectacular.

[whose_son_am_i]

That brings a slow smile to Loki's face, genuine and also seen in his eyes. "I'm glad as well. Lest I be a poor guest, did you need help with clean-up? The wine and cheeses are yours to keep for however long they last."

[drpalmer]

"We didn't use much, I can handle it, but thanks for offering."

Just a few plates and wine glasses, nothing she can't handle.

"We should do this again sometime."

"And...what would you expect of me?" With an eyebrow raise, although that smile remained. "I promise you nothing certain, but I do admit to enjoying your company. I would like to do this again."

[drpalmer]

"Good conversation. I might want to kiss you again. I don't expect much."

She just wants more of his time, and company.

"I could show you the horrible, wonderful world of reality TV."

"Yes that was surprising but very pleasant." With a grin, blue-green eyes definitely slightly brighter and interested. "So for now simply conversation and occasional kisses? I accept that." With another nod. "Please don't, I've heard enough to know about that I wonder how anyone who watches still has any brain cells left."

[drpalmer]

"Surely you must have something mindless that you enjoy on occasion?"

For her it's a bit of absolute trash tv.

"I people watch. Occasionally I read something mindless." Loki replied. A moment and then an eyebrow raise. "Or perhaps you're attempting to get me to hold you while you show me something new, and the mindlessness is a ruse?"

[drpalmer]

She laughs. "I'm not so cunning, I'd probably just ask if you liked a bit of cuddling."

She wouldn't mind it, she's been affection starved for a while.

"Outside of the bedroom, I have not done so." It wasn't a no, however. "I do believe you capable of that level of cunning for what it's worth."

[drpalmer]

"Maybe for some things, seems wasted on trying to get you to hug me though." There's a little shrug and a laugh.

"That might easily be accomplished by dancing again." Still smiling, as he liked her laugh. "Any more plans or things you wanted during this visit?"

[drpalmer]

"How about another dance, and then we can say goodnight."

She has enjoyed this, he is quite good company and she genuinely hopes she will see him again.

In response, Loki moved from his seat and let his clothing shimmer once more. Back to the Midgardian style suit, that was much more suited to dancing in the style she wanted. She hadn't bothered to turn off the music from earlier, melodies still trilling around the room from speakers.

Stepping over to her chair, offering his hand.

[drpalmer]

She takes his hand with a smile as she stands again. The music is slower, and she doesn't hesitate to put her hand on his shoulder.

He is a good dancer and makes it easy for her to follow.

Like before, his arm went around her, hand just at the base of her shoulder blades to guide. One heartbeat, then they were moving with the music once more. A bit more slowly than before but it wasn't hard to adapt.

"Then our...relationship is to be friends, with dancing and kisses?" Loki asked while arching a brow. Somewhat teasing her, but also confirming. What was she expecting from all of this?

"Seems best to keep things simple, since we are from different worlds in the most literal sense."

They move well together, once Christine let go enough to trust his lead. From there it's natural.

That she did trust him to lead, even in the small stakes that was dancing, was rather unusual. They did move well together, which was a pleasant surprise to Loki--not that he showed this. Able to lead her in an occasional spin, though he hadn't tried dipping her yet. Keeping it simple.

"So long as we're both clear on the terms, I see no problems."

She could probably manage a dip if he wanted. Christine was surprised by how nice it was to dance with him, how nice this whole evening had been.

"Me either."

Maybe as the night and dancing wears on, he'll attempt to dip her. As it was, they lapsed into a comfortable rhythm. No real need to break the silence and fill it, but more occasional interruptions of it to further learn about each other. How was her work going overall? Commonplaces about Asgard and some of the other realms. Occasional stories or anecdotes.

Comfortable, and enjoying both the dance and the company.

It's the most pleasant evening she's had in a long while. Though after a few more dances it seems like a good time to end the evening.

"I hope you'll visit again soon." She says as she kisses his cheek.
