More like an ark of sorts, but the comparison is still apt. It is nice to walk down the halls and not be troubled or noticed. "Maybe I like the idea of clandestine encounters." Loki teased, as they were clearly moving into the nicer area of the ship. Larger cabins or sets of rooms, many resembling large board rooms from an office, or other meeting spaces.
Loki didn't do sentiment---so why had he missed this?
His rooms it was, as that would guarantee her a measure of privacy in other ways.
"As you've likely guessed, the town can't handle the influx of our numbers so easily. Many of us still live and conduct business on the Statesman, while we work on integrating." Back to a more serious topic. "...Our people only have what they were able to flee with. I can't promise you much luxury from my home."
Because her teasing is wonderful and he's lucky to be on the receiving end of it?
"I'm just here in scrubs with my phone. As long as I can wash clothes and shower, I don't need luxury." She's done some volunteer work in underdeveloped places as a doctor, if they've got hot water and food, she's fine.
"That, we can guarantee at least." They could likely handle clothing---he could handle that if nothing else. Modify Earth garments if she wanted. Clothing had been one of the more common purchases the Asgardian's had made, and many were modifying it to be a blend of Earth and Asgardian style.
The halls were quieter in this part of the ship, and Loki dropped the veiling spell that concealed them. And startled a maid, her hair braided elegantly on her head. "A-Apologies, my Lord." More for her startlement.
"I have a guest staying with me." Loki replied smoothly. "She'll be staying for about a week, and like many of us, has come with only what she has on her." The maid nodded, although she was now intensely curious about his guest. "Please make her comfortable, and attend to her needs." A curtsey was given in response, to show she understood.
"Better I be the one to go initiate an unwelcome conversation with our King, than him coming to me." Loki replied, turning his attention back to Christine. "Relax, rest, and hopefully this won't take more than an hour or two."
Oh, all the formality feels strange. It's easy to forget that he actually is a Prince, and that here he is treated as such.
"Go through all your books and enjoy myself, got it." Being left in his rooms will inevitably be a bit like leaving him in her apartment. Of course she's going to do a little snooping.
She wonders if it's surprising to the maid to hear someone talk to Loki the way she does.
If it is surprising, the maid isn't letting on. "When you're ready, milady?" Dagny, the maid, prompted. Politely ignoring and not-seeing things that she shouldn't.
Loki offered a wry grin. "Sadly I don't have any books in my rooms, but you're welcome to snoop anyways. I'm confident I've hidden everything that shouldn't be found." Before removing her arm, and trusting her care to the maid. Striding off to go find Thor and have a very uncomfortable discussion.
Dagny was quiet, but also intensely curious. Leading the way to Loki's rooms, and when they arrived... It was a nice set of rooms. Perhaps not as large as could be, but he had 3 clear rooms to himself which was a luxury on a spaceship. They entered first into a large sitting room, in shades of dark-grey with warm lighting.
"Will you be needing anything, milady? Besides a change of clothing?"
"I absolutely will." Of course she will snoop, it's irresistible.
"Thank you." Christine hasn't ever really been waited on. "You can call me Christine if you'd like."
Christine, once in the rooms is looking around, everything has that look that she would expect from Loki's space. And there is a hum of magic from whatever protective spells he has placed.
Dagny nodded. "I can draw milady Christine a bath, if that would be wanted?"
It was neat and organized, mostly because there wasn't much stuff yet. There were sheaves of papers on a table, maps and notes, and drafts of boring paperwork. Also, giving lie to his earlier words, a book or three. Nothing too exciting though--history books of Earth, particularly America and Europe, along with a general world-history.
Inspecting further into the rooms would reveal the bathroom was connected to the bedroom. Containing a bath and a shower, the bath a good size to stretch out in. Towels were prominent in a soft brown shade with gold embroidery. The bed was also a very good size to stretch out on, with that same soft brown shades, accented with green.
Christine is exploring, carefully picking up the history books one by one with a little smile. Her fingers brush over his notes, it's the first time she's seen his handwriting.
She can imagine the colors are similar as to what his rooms must have looked like back on Asgard.
Now that bathtub is really beautiful, and absolutely big enough for two people and Christine can see the pair of them soaking together sometime this week.
"Of course Milady." Dagny bobbed a curtsy, before moving to start the water running. Warm-hot, before she moved to gather more towels from a nearby closet. "Would you like me to leave clothing for you in the bedroom?" Otherwise she'd poke her head into the bathroom to do so. Dagny wasn't entirely sure of the protocol in this case.
"Dagny, Milady." It was a simple reply, towels placed near the bath before the maid turned her attention to her more fully. "Will there be anything else? Would you like help?"
Christine finds herself soaking until the water goes cool before she gets out and dries off. She steps out of the bathroom in a towel and finds the robe.
It feels nice on her skin and she admires the look in the mirror before she finds herself taking one of those history books and laying on his bed to read.
It is a very comfy bed. The Statesman being compared to a cruise ship was definitely an apt comparison. If she's very perceptive, Loki's feel lingers on the sheets. A hint of scent (wintery and slightly bitter), a 'shimmery' feeling that teases against her Empathy as well. Something that slides away from her grasp if she tries to catch it.
At least an hour passes From the other room, there is the sound of a door opening, and Dagny calls out "Milady?" She'd managed to find clothing, although whether it was suit she was unsure.
"And Milady doesn't need assistance with dressing?" Dagny was guessing not, but wanted to be certain. The coordinating color scheme had actually been Brunhilde's idea, when consulted about clothing. Both her way of getting back at the Prince and making certain everyone knew who was protecting their guest.
Dark black leggings and sturdy boots, with a top that was green and black--fitted around the bodice before splitting around the hips, narrowing almost into a black apron with gold trim. The sleeves came to a point near her fingers, and billowed out at her upper arms. Bracers had been been included to help cinch them in, along with what was almost an underbust corset--but far more practical. In all, it was a very fitting of Loki's tastes. Hopefully it met Christine's too.
There was the sound of the door opening again, and two masculine voices. One called out--not Loki, but Thor. "Please pardon the intrusion, Doctor Palmer."
As if Loki would let that happen either. But her time dressing isn't interrupted further. Once she's ready, heading to the sitting room will find both Loki and Thor standing politely. The latter offers a smile and a bow. "My apologies for not introducing myself properly earlier, Dr. Palmer. No insult was meant." He also had a familiar item with him, from the hospital--her bag. Holding it out to her. "The Sorcerer insisted you would want this. And he asks that you call on him when you return."
Loki kept his expression neutral, though he took in the way she looked. Rest well, Sweetling? You look lovely. A pause and an amused overtone. It IS rather convenient to be able to speak like this.
"You wager correctly, but most of them will have to wait. I came to be assured you were alright and being treated well. To help smooth things over given the interruption, there will be a formal dinner--or as formal as we can manage, for the visiting dignitaries." Thor's smile remained, although his blue eye turned to his brother.
"Although I do find it amusing, Brother, that you chided me before for my affection for Dr. Foster. Something about how their lives are so much the blink of an eye." Clear curiosity and mirth in the banter.
"She did me a kindness before, and has proven to be good company." Loki said, raising a brow and daring his brother to say more. If it was a game of words, Thor's odds of winning weren't very high.

It's not very clandestine if the whole city seems to know about them already.
"Oh, or I could lock my doors and keep you out." She teases, as if he wouldn't be able to pick the locks with magic or otherwise.

"What's your name?" Its the type of person Christine is that she actually both wants to know and will remember everyone's names.

Christine is eager to have a nice relaxing bath while she waits for Loki to return. She's been holding some tension in her back since the attack.

Whenever she emerged, there would be a simple but elegant robe waiting for her. Proper clothing would actually take a bit longer to hunt up.

"I've found some clothing, if it will suit Milady?" It was a mix of Asgard and Earth, in neutral tones but with green prominent.

She is checking out the clothing, she finds she rather likes the look of them, practical enough for movement but still rather nice looking.
She's only halfway dressed when she hears voices.
"Give me one minute to finish dressing, if you don't mind?" She calls back. She doesn't imagine Thor really wants a full view of her tits.

"There was a bit of commotion, I don't blame you." She takes the bag, Stephen could have moments of being thoughtful. "Oh, I imagine he does."
It still comes as a surprise to feel Loki in her mind, but she doesn't seem to change expressions. I do have a bit of your look going on don't I?
"I am going to wager you have some questions for me?" She asks Thor.
