There is definitely something more in the air than just a normal sparring match, but neither seems to be trying to kill the other. Sif with her sword and shield, Loki likewise with a sword, and a dagger in the other hand. Much like with Brunhilde, they moved like dancers in a brutal dance. Fairly well-matched too, before Sif found her sword hand locked against his hand with a dagger. Albeit her shield moved to block his strike. The pair twisted, Loki ducking and Sif falling into a dangerous dive-roll that could've broken her arm. It didn't, as Loki released the hold, and the pair squared off again.
Feel free to interrupt Sweetling, we've been at this an hour already.
"I've been assured he is more useful alive." Sif murmured, keeping her eyes on Loki. He just gave her a mocking little bow. "It's always a pleasure, Lady Sif." All smile that was just this side of sincere.
Sif snorted, and sighed. "Hello Christine. I hope you fare well today."
"I'm glad to hear that. You have been a good ally, and I do hope we can be friends further." Christine was already well on her way to friendship with the warrior, but Sif didn't want to assume.
"I understand you wanted to learn dagger, but they've started you with a sword, Dr. Palmer?" Loki said, all business. Lady Sif frowned slightly but nodded. "She's proven to be a capable student, but--and I hate to admit it--you're currently the expert on how to wield daggers, Trickster."
"Then I will follow your and the valkyrie's lead, Lady Sif. Sword, and showing her where it differs from the dagger." Sif could find no fault, although she wanted to. "Do you want me to stay around and supervise, Christine?"
Sif raised an eyebrow, before offering a smile and a shake of her head. "I hope you're right. Good luck and may the Norns smile on you." With a little bow, Sif then turned and pointed to her eyes, then to Loki, before walking off to go clean up.
Loki waited patiently, before offering a chuckle himself and a half-smile with Sif left. "Most of our differences have been settled." He offered, before flipping his dagger to be hilt-first and held out to her. "You can do the basic exercises and drills you've been learning just as easily with one of these, and better you get used to the shorter range."
"Thank you." Sif must not suspect that anyone would actually want to train with Loki.
"You've known one another since childhood?" Sif had mentioned as much at lunch when she was giving warnings about Loki.
She takes the dagger and twists her wrist to get a feel for the weight. It's well balanced and she thinks it would be a much better fit for her strength.
"We have. She and the warriors Three were Thor's closest companions." Loki is watching how she holds the blade, then nodding approvingly. The sword had been a generic training blade, but the dagger was his own. Moving to place the sword back in the make-shift-weapons rack, he manifested his other dagger and walked back.
"We can talk and work. Show me the basic drills they've taught you already?"
"Calmer but more busy in some ways. Mostly I am familiarizing myself with what you call modern technology." He nods, then moves over. "Try this. You're overcompensating because you're used to a longer reach than a dagger gives you. I was afraid of that." Showing her, then standing next to her and demonstrating as needed.
"And learning to program, and a few skills I should not tell you about for your own good. Better." Nodding, and stepping back so she could continue to run through drills. "How do you think I've found some of the leads I have?"
"I'm trying to keep you innocent. Or at least offer you plausible deniability." Loki replied with an amused scoff. "I've also been attempting to teach Thor about how to use Midgard modern technology. He's...less than enthused about learning."
"True, you already know too much about me. Luckily, you're still useful or you'd have to die." With a wink and smile. But also a deliberate mental brush of his mind over hers--wrapping around her own and full of possessive-affection.
"He'll learn. Or not, but that's why he has a council, and will eventually have more than myself and Heimdall and Brunhilde on it." Stopping her once more, he moved to correct her hold on the dagger, then stepped back. "Again."
"You don't seem to prize your own quite as much as she did. I think you're safe from that particular prank." THAT incident. With several years between then and now, Loki could admit perhaps it hadn't been the wisest thing to do. He wouldn't be doing it to Sif again, in any event.
Loki smiles and gives a little laugh. "Would you prefer a frog?" As if they haven't had that conversation before.
"You're doing well-enough. Think you want to try those drills against an opponent?" He'd be meeting it with his own dagger, and wasn't worried about being hurt.

Christine enjoys Ingrid's company and does her best to answer questions about her relationship with Loki in the most neutral way possible.
Training is difficult but Christine is getting better with each day.
She gets to talk to everyone and she is growing familar with New Asgard.
When she ends up at training she's surprised to see Loki there, and more surprised to see Sif.

Christine will gladly interrupt. Since it's likely they could keep going forever if they wanted.

"I'm doing well, I might actually miss it here when I head back to New York."

"I have been working with a sword." Christine nods, she's been enjoying it, though swords are a bit more unruly than daggers.
"You don't need to, I'm fairly capable of handling Loki."
Especially in bed.

She nods and watches him before mirroring his movements.

It's that or he's joined onlyfans.
She moves into the second drill, doing much better with space.

"I don't know him very well, but that sounds like what I would expect."

"He's smart enough to surround himself with others, that's better than plenty of leaders." She corrects her grip and runs through the drills again.
"Sif warned me about you. It's a general theme. 'Loki is dangerous, don't get too close."

"I do. I can practically hear the warnings that I shouldn't let you near me with a dagger."
