It wasn't easy. Along with a mental equivalent of a kiss.
Sif nodded. "3 hours it is then. Practice well, Christine. Behave." That latter most clearly directed at Loki who simply smirked at her. Then the warrior was heading back the way she came. She had some ideas of her own about who might be on the list of names Loki would give her. She also wanted to talk to Thor--was he aware of this development? She would not break confidence, but she did want to assess how much the brother knew.
Once they're alone again, Loki finally relaxed a fraction. Enough to bring her formerly injured hand up and kiss it. "Back to business then. I want you consistently hitting the target now for at least a half-hour."
Christine thinks Thor is likely to have picked up on his brother's affections, at least somewhat.
She does lightly touch his face before nodding at getting back to work. She does get to the point where she is consistently leaving the daggers in the target.
Thor has picked up indeed that his brother is behaving strangely--but a good strange. And as much as he might want to tease, and potentially watch out for Christine, some wise counsel has told him a very simple solution. Stay out of it, unless approached.
"Now that you've gotten the basics of it, we'll try for a full spin. This is most likely the position you'd be throwing your own dagger from, but it does mean we're taking a few steps back." More than a few steps as Loki lead the way. They were now about 3.35m away from the target.
"This one you can put a bit more force into, but again--focus on your stance and on throwing. Accuracy will come with practice. You're going to hold your dagger the same way, but you're holding the handle this time."
"More force, not necessarily power." Loki corrected. "Otherwise, yes." Then he demonstrated for her. Before conjuring his own dagger and throwing it the same way, so she could see and compare.
He laughed and moved so she could have more room and he could watch. "I've been doing this a lot longer than you. And in far less controlled circumstances."
"I should probably worry about this dagger fetish you have." Loki teased her gently. Watching as she practiced, and again making an occasional correction.
"Point to you." Maybe it wasn't that surprising. She was managing to have her blades stick more, from this point. Once she'd thrown the other 11, he moved to retrieve them and his own dagger, so she could keep practicing.
"Once you have a feel for this, we'll focus on accuracy. I will say I want you to try once with your own dagger, so you can start having an idea of what you'll need to focus on."
"Good. I hope it stays that way, although knowing me, it likely won't." Not that he would try to harm her. "So now, feel free to try it which ever way your comfortable with, for you own dagger."
"That sounds intimidating." She knows he doesn't mean himself, but rather all the enemies he tends to have.
It takes a moment of feeling the balance of her blade in her hand before she tries it. The weight is very different, but she's also more familar with it. So it doesn't hit center, but it does hit the target.
"Very good for your first throw with your own blade." Let it not be said Loki wouldn't praise her as much as he demanded she be a good student. "You're getting the idea now. At this point it's more practice, and practice, and practice some more."
"Considering it's to help you learn defense, I doubt the Sorcerer will mind." It was a good idea, and Loki was pleased she would practice. "Now do it again." They still had a few hours, and only when she seemed like she was having problems from fatigue, did he plan to stop.
Her last few throws had been wobbly too, so he was planning to call a stop. Letting her do one more throw that just barely hit the target, before they called it quits. "I think that's enough for now. You are, once again, a quick study." Loki moved to retrieve the practice knives, and places them and the target away. "So now, you walk it off and we get some food."
She sends her dagger back to it's home in New York. The knives and target are put away and she can't resist taking his hand for a quick moment before they leave.
"Food we shall have." With a grin, and squeezing her hand when she took it.
Out of consideration for her aching shoulder, Loki once more had food sent to his rooms. He asked Christine to be honest about what and where she was sore. If needed, she was ordered for a quick soak, and if further wanted, he massaged her shoulder. Simply enjoying being around her, and touching her, and having her there. It was subtle, but in his mind he'd shown weakness to Sif, and it bothered him. Not enough to do much about other than chew on it a bit, but it still occupied his thoughts. It bothered him, and it also bothered him that he wasn't more bothered by it.
But Christine was important to him, and he went over what he'd observed that she did well, and what she needed to work on. Filled her in more on what his 'plan' was, and who he would be sending she and Sif after. Like he'd stated, their goal was to talk to those among the Asgardians who might wish to strike back--and make it clear that any such action was not going to be tolerated or entertained.
She has both a brief soak and a massage and they serve her shoulder well. The muscle tension is gone, and she gets the plus of being touched.
"That isn't the obvious solution you know? Humans greatly outnumber you." And don't take well to attempts at takeover. "That always stuck me as a problem with royalty. You're born into it and get no choice in the matter."

You did leave me for months again, you can live without me for a few hours. And then have me in your bed tonight.

She shifts her grip lower, onto the handle and shows him for approval.
"Same stance just a bit more power to it."

The second is better and sticks, though not where she was aiming.

"Honestly if we want to fight among ourselves, that's preferable. What we don't want is to give our enemies any fuel they can use to point to us as potential invaders or a problematic force or anything that will make our position less secure. The people you'll be speaking with are young, and Asgardians when younger are a bit bloodthirsty. But if things go right with what I'm doing the more inflammatory of our enemies will collapse from in-fighting. We've already had other efforts in motion to prove we are intent on helping, not taking over." A shrug, and Loki was surprisingly blasé about the topic. "Honestly we don't have the forces to take over--not in any sense where we could keep our hold over Earth. Even if that would be the more obvious solution. Besides, Thor doesn't want to rule Midgard--I'm not sure he entirely wants to rule New Asgard. I think he's unsure what he really wants, but is doing what he feels he needs to."
