He had actually fared better in Wakanda than a few. Still known for his actions previously, and while they would not be forgotten... The stories of Anansi the spider, story-teller and trickster god, were also revered and well-known. The people prized cleverness and cunning as well as brute strength, so Loki was given some measure of respect as well.
It was still a new experience for him, much like when they'd first come to Midgard. In some ways, it was only his overdue rewards. Never appreciated as much among his own people, here were people who saw his worth.
"I've most certainly let you closer than anyone else has ever been." Another kiss to her knuckles.
Loki just smiled, and moved to brush her hair back. "I'm not sure where I'll live, honestly. It's likely safer if we live apart, but thanks to your being able to portal now that's hardly an issue."
"I did just watch you seperate creatures from their heads. I'm sure we will find more dangers in the future, but lets pretend were safe for a little bit."
"I was rather satisfied to kill him." Blue-green eyes gleamed, before he was chuckling with her next statement. "He has good taste then, as do you." With a wink. "Where would you like to live?"
That brought a low chuckle, and a slow blink. "Do you think your Sorcerer Supreme would approve of me helping care for a Sanctum?" It wasn't a no though.
Loki blinked, somewhat surprised. Before laughing. "I suppose that would be what happened. I'm glad it did not come to that." He seemed thoughtful--pondering the changes he'd been going through.
That was, admittedly--part of what he was pondering over. HAD he ever cared for anything or anyone besides himself before? Why was she special? There was still a chance she would betray him somehow--there was always that possibility. But everything he'd seen and sensed in her said it was unlikely... Could she hurt him? Yes, badly.
....was she worth it?
No answer he could come to made logical sense, and yet it...felt right.
"I can't promise I'll always behave. My goals have, so far, aligned with keeping this planet safe." Keeping her safe... "I do not see that changing, but it hardly means I'm a 'good guy' now."
"As long as your goals continue to not be exploding the planet, I don't expect you to be a superhero."
She knows he is far more morally ambiguous than anything. She's not foolish enough to see things in black and white anyway. If her touches of bloodthirst are anything to go by, even Christine exists in a shade of gray.
"I would make a terrible superhero. I'd only do it for the glory." Loki had snorted softly at the idea, then started to chuckle. "I'd be turning into Tony Stark, most likely."
More chuckling. "Still want one of your own? Or are we staying with horns?" It was his turn to lean across the table though, to kiss her cheek. "Again, I would be happy where you are. I'm willing to give London a try."

When he has done so she is given raw, unfiltered emotion that he isn't able to pick to send to her.

"So, what do we do now?"
She's been wondering that. Debating where she wants her life to take her.

"I better live a long time then." There's a little mischief in her smile.
"Should we live together?"

She leans into his touch.
"So now we're worried about danger?"

She is sure there will be more fights ahead.
"Really?" She lights up, eager and happy.

Then he nodded, always pleased to make her light up in joy. "Assuming you can live with my being in hiding as well."

"I was so satisfied to see you kill that needle throwing bastard." She feels a hint guilty about it, but they did try to murder her.
"I've been dating this Eric Nordson guy behind your back, he's pretty okay."

As much as she loves New York, she's ready for a change.

The remnants of the building have already been used to start constructing another.
"It would offer us permanent portals between London and New York, and we could set one for New Asgard as well."

That seemed to help Stephen's opinion of Loki.

It at least had showed Loki as capable of caring for something besides himself.
