"You're not mean, but you can be standoffish." She smiles, tilting her face up enough to kiss his lips.

"I'm not especially partially to my apartment. It might be good for a few days to be away though."

Loki could live with being standoffish, and even then he wasn't always. He was private. Part of why he had the same servants too, whom he did know the names of and treat, if not kindly, politely and professionally. For all that he was a prince, he also was fairly tidy and not that demanding in many ways.

"Whatever you want, Sweetling." Her comfort was his chief concern for now. Now that she was safe.

"Not just for me. We can steal away for a few days to be just us."

His servants are all very polite and they seem to have a good rapport with him, if just in passing.

"We should go somewhere new, if that's the case." Loki murmured. "Perhaps one of those beaches that Earth should be famous for."

"Like the one this is modeled on." The image she's painted in her mind that he cast to surround them.

"I love it when I get to steal you away for a little bit."

"You'd have to live with Eric's appearance for a bit, depending on how private or not we are." But his mind was already turning with ideas. Not least of which this might be advantageous in drawing out their enemies.

"I'm used to it now." She shrugs, Eric is familar enough that it still feels like Loki.

"Do you swim?"

"I can, although I've not do so often casually." Loki gave a soft little laugh. "Depending on how well known we become, I've plans to retire Eric. It means I'd have to have certain affairs put in your name though."

"What sort of affairs?" She's not saying no, she's just curious what he means.

"A bank account or two and some other financial interests."

She nods.

"Oh, that's fine. If you trust me with your sneaky money."

It's not as if anything about her is untrustworthy, especially where Loki is concerned.

"It's not so sneaky since it's in official accounts, Sweetling." Loki teased. "But yes, we can go on vacation whenever you want."

"And I save us so much money with portals." She laughs.

"But yes, you can add me to whatever accounts you need to."

"I suspect I'll be able to help you with that too." Nuzzling her hair. "More seriously, how are you feeling?"

"Much better. Still a little groggy from whatever they gave me, but I'm okay."

She kisses his chest.

"How are you feeling?"

"Calmer. Though I have ideas and plans. And you safe, which is....what is most important to me." He was still a tangled knot of emotions, but he was starting to unravel it.

She lets him feel the warmth that the sentiment gives her. He can take all the time he needs to figure out his feelings.

"Do you get sunburn? You are very pale." Probably goes with being a frost giant.

"I haven't yet." Loki pointed out. "I'm actually much hardier than I look." With a soft smile.

"You're very solid." She pokes his stomach, "and you don't feel cold, so I guess I believe you don't get sunburn either."

Loki just kissed her forehead. "Tonight, you are resting. Let me know when you're ready for either sleep or food."

"I couldn't handle you tonight if I wanted to." As much as she may want to.

"I think I'll want to sleep first, food later."

That brings an impish smile. "I truly meant sleeping, Sweetling. You are not weak, or fragile, but I also recognize you have been through an ordeal." Kissing her forehead again, he rested his head against hers. "One which I very much wish to make those responsible pay. But sadly my revenge may have to be less personal than I'm accustomed to."

"I do need some rest." She will make up for it when she feels better, but for tonight she will just be cuddly.

"But we will have revenge. I may not want you to kill them personally, but I do want revenge myself as well."

Loki was quiet, and kissed her forehead again. "...and you still trust me. And aren't angry." He sounded puzzled. "You are mine to protect, and I failed you."

"You didn't fail me. You would have absolutely gutted them if it wouldn't have started a war. I take that as you gaining some maturity."

He actually saw the bigger picture instead of acting on his rage.
