She lets him feel the warmth that the sentiment gives her. He can take all the time he needs to figure out his feelings.

"Do you get sunburn? You are very pale." Probably goes with being a frost giant.

"I haven't yet." Loki pointed out. "I'm actually much hardier than I look." With a soft smile.

"You're very solid." She pokes his stomach, "and you don't feel cold, so I guess I believe you don't get sunburn either."

Loki just kissed her forehead. "Tonight, you are resting. Let me know when you're ready for either sleep or food."

[drpalmer]

"I couldn't handle you tonight if I wanted to." As much as she may want to.

"I think I'll want to sleep first, food later."

[whose_son_am_i]

That brings an impish smile. "I truly meant sleeping, Sweetling. You are not weak, or fragile, but I also recognize you have been through an ordeal." Kissing her forehead again, he rested his head against hers. "One which I very much wish to make those responsible pay. But sadly my revenge may have to be less personal than I'm accustomed to."

"I do need some rest." She will make up for it when she feels better, but for tonight she will just be cuddly.

"But we will have revenge. I may not want you to kill them personally, but I do want revenge myself as well."

Loki was quiet, and kissed her forehead again. "...and you still trust me. And aren't angry." He sounded puzzled. "You are mine to protect, and I failed you."

"You didn't fail me. You would have absolutely gutted them if it wouldn't have started a war. I take that as you gaining some maturity."

He actually saw the bigger picture instead of acting on his rage.

"I was ready to." Murmured quietly. "As much as I hate to give him credit, Thor was wiser in this than I. We fought over it." Physically fought as well as with words.

"You fought over protecting me?" She still doesn't believe herself important enough for any of this.

"We did." Loki confirmed. "Lady Sif also let me put my rage to better ends, as we sparred as well."

[drpalmer]

"Did you win?" Christine would need to thank Sif. Both for involving Shield and for being a good friend to Loki.

"Did you and Sif date? Back in your youth?"

[whose_son_am_i]

"Winning was not the goal." Then he's tilting his head to watch her. "Briefly, but it was never serious. Even more so than my usual casualness. Personally I believe she ever had eyes for Thor, though she did not recognize it at the time."

[drpalmer]

"She and Thor would make a good pair." Christine nods, thinking about it.

"I can safely say from the warnings I got about you that she doesn't harbor any of those feelings for you."

"I never harbored any illusion she might." Loki said with a soft chuckle. "And I agree with you. I think it's part of why she's been spending more time here. Especially since Asgard itself is no more."

"Can we get them together? With our combined mischief?" Christine is a great friend.

She stretches a bit as the water starts to cool.

"As long as it's not a double date. They might be figuring things out on their own, however." Loki had caught hints of certain things. A look, here or there. A lot of time spent in each other's company. "All that might be is for them to decide it's official."

[drpalmer]

"A double date would involve you admitting we're dating." Christine is happy to hear that Thor and Sif are figuring things out.

"It will come out eventually." More nuzzling of her forehead. "Ready for sleep?"

[drpalmer]

"Both Sif and Thor have figured it out by now." Especially given that Christine and Loki share rooms.

"Yeah, I think it's bedtime."

[whose_son_am_i]

"I'm aware." Loki said quietly, somewhat dry in tone. "I suspect if they didn't, they wouldn't have done what they did as a way of not just stopping me, but trying to help." One more kiss on the forehead, then he's moving out of the tub. Helping her up, and using the simple expedient of magic to get dry, as much as he wouldn't mind snuggling her with a towel.

"Sorry. I know it's difficult for you to admit feelings." She's appreciative of the spell.

"Should I steal another of your shirts?"

Leaning down just for a moment, he kissed her. In appreciation and thanks for her understanding and patience. Just enough--for him to know how he felt. "You, are getting in bed. Would you like to steal another of my shirts, or something else?"

She smiles against his lips.

"Your shirts are comfortable. I think that's what I want."
