The caress is welcomed, and now...now he projects some of his own emotions back. Confusion and a bit of fear, affection and worry, simmering rage--but not directed at her. Directed towards those who dared harm her, but also mixed with a healthy self-loathing. Because he hadn't been able to protect her. And for her sake, because he knew it would make her unhappy--he would not go after them. (Not directly, anyways.) Letting her past his shield enough to see just how vulnerable he felt, with this state that he knew not how to handle. Caring for someone else, loving them. Not as an extension of himself, but for their own sake.
She plans to have him for as long as she's able. She mentally reassures him; she's scared too. He could hurt her terribly if he wanted, it goes in both directions.
It's a reminder that for all his years, relatively--he was still young in so many ways too. Kisses are pressed to her hair, soft nuzzles, as he wraps his arms around her possessively. "You are making me soft." It's sad with dry amusement.
"Maybe to you, yes. So long as it's not to others." Nuzzling her, mind wrapping around her as much as it could. "If you really want to go home, you can. But I know I'm not alone in hoping you stay for a few days still."
"I'm not actually mean, on a regular basis." Loki protested. But her words got her a kiss against her hair. "I could come with you. I can work from there as easily as from here, for what I have to do."
But New Asgard, or at least the people in it, had started to regard itself as a home for her too.
Loki could live with being standoffish, and even then he wasn't always. He was private. Part of why he had the same servants too, whom he did know the names of and treat, if not kindly, politely and professionally. For all that he was a prince, he also was fairly tidy and not that demanding in many ways.
"Whatever you want, Sweetling." Her comfort was his chief concern for now. Now that she was safe.
"You'd have to live with Eric's appearance for a bit, depending on how private or not we are." But his mind was already turning with ideas. Not least of which this might be advantageous in drawing out their enemies.
"I can, although I've not do so often casually." Loki gave a soft little laugh. "Depending on how well known we become, I've plans to retire Eric. It means I'd have to have certain affairs put in your name though."

She remembers his little metaphor about love, and it clicks as to where his mind is going. Or at least she thinks it does.
"Am I a dagger?"

She also doesn't expect him to say it, she never has. While love isn't new for her, one that is this deep is.

I've got you.

She presses a little kiss to his chest.

After watching him fight and seeing that cunning strength in all it's glory, she would never call him soft.

She embraces him back, cozy and safe.
"It doesn't feel like home without you."

"I'm not especially partially to my apartment. It might be good for a few days to be away though."

His servants are all very polite and they seem to have a good rapport with him, if just in passing.

"Oh, that's fine. If you trust me with your sneaky money."
It's not as if anything about her is untrustworthy, especially where Loki is concerned.

"How are you feeling?"
