"Playing dress-up is one of the more fun aspects. And good style is essential to lies and stories. They help make it believable." Loki winked, before switching which hand was holding her own. Stepping away some, and letting her look as she might wish.
"I do wear more casual clothing at times." He still tended to favor Asgardian styles more than Midgardian, but he wore both. The armor she caught him in most often was also because he was at a function that required some ceremony.
That made him chuckle. "Like the jeans, I do have a few items that are far more casual than I choose to wear most of the time. It helps sometimes if all I have to do is change the color of a shirt, rather than change the 'style' of it entirely in illusion."
"Exactly so." Pulling her close once more, Loki shifted them to be in position to dance again. "Much like a lie, a good illusion has as much truth and fact to it, so that it's hard to tell where the falseness begins."
The illusions felt fairly realistic, for all that they were just that--illusions. Tricks of the mind and magic. "You certainly don't have to be." Loki reassured, slowly leading her around in the small space. "I'm a talented one...but I prefer not to, with you. You earned my respect early on, and it seemed important."
With their bond, she probably could. Loki wasn't sure if he could lie mind to mind, as he didn't communicate in that way with anyone but her. With how strong her Empathy was, it would be a moot point anyway.
Swaying with the motion, Loki leaned forward to kiss her forehead. "I'm aware that you're there and...it is comforting. As I said when you tried shielding yourself and you felt so horribly lonely. That is a sensation I was used to in my life, and had grown to no longer care about it."
The mind to mind communication felt to intimate to be able to lie, especially with the way emotions tend to leak.
"I didnt even know it was possible to feel someone like I feel you." She kisses his cheek in reply. "As long as I'm alive you'll never need to feel that loneliness again."
"You are a precious gift, my Sweetling. If I ever treat you as anything less, then I deserve to be alone." Nuzzling her in turn, even while they're dancing.
"So humble, but you truly don't know your own worth." Loki murmured against her skin. "Not just anyone has a soul that shines like yours, my Sweetling." He was absolutely smitten, and part of Loki was briefly disgusted by the sentiment. But he wouldn't take it back. "Remember, I chose to be yours."
That just has him leaning in to kiss her. Sweet and lingering and wanting. Pulling her close, thanking her. Once more projecting an image for her--the background was simple, and she was naked. Light and shadow played along her skin and hair, but she seemed to glow subtly.
In sheer physical beauty, you are not average--but it is not purely physical that makes you shine or is beautiful. Loki had been with beauties of both sexes; Christine was not a great beauty, but she was not at all unattractive. Above average, but there was more to her that *made* her beautiful.
It is very much her heart that is her most attractive feature. To have such kindness and light even doing the work she does takes a special kind of person.
when I look at you I see the shimmer of your magic around you.
Is that how you see me... Overtones of curiosity and appreciation in his mental voice. Sweetling, are we to continue to dance, move to the bed, or return to our books?
The image makes him smile in the kiss, and there's a feeling of appreciation and amusement against her mind. Despite their clothing being illusions, Loki took the time to sweep her off her feet in a proper bridal carry. Still nuzzling her as best he could, as he carried her to bed.
She's gotten used to him sweeping her off her feet, it doesn't shock her anymore. Instead she peppers kisses across his throat while he brings her to the bed.
As he'd said, he did enjoy playing gallant lover with her. Shifting with one knee on the bed, to lay her down in the center. Leaning over her and kissing the side of her face and hair, while she went after his throat. One arm supporting his weight, while the other went around her once more.

"I'm impressed with myself on this one." She laughs, "a bit less armor then you are used to though."

She wonders what a wedding on Asgard would have been like. They must have worn their formal armor for it.

She basically has an infinite wardrobe now that she can change colors and patterns with ease.

She moves easily with him, the dress, being an illusion doesn't have the potential to trip her.

"With our bond, I'd probably be able to tell now. I really like always feeling you, like this familar warmth that is always with me."

"There isn't a moment I forget, my prince."
She had chosen to be his as well, and was loving every bit of it.

Even if she doesn't often think that she is all that attractive when she sees images like that, she looks ethereal and magical.
