"I'll take your word on the mood lighting." She said with a wry smile, and a glance at Loki. "I know you've been using it the most out of any of us, despite Thor and I stealing it."
"Yes, and Thor has been aware almost every time I've borrowed it since." Loki replied smoothly, raising an eyebrow. If Brunhilde wanted to play games, he would.
I feel what you're doing, Sweetling. Loki sent back, a hint of warning in the mental tone. Just a hint though, which she should understand because he didn't like being manipulated.
Brunhilde shrugged, and picked up her own half-full glass. "Easy, Loki. I'm certainly in no hurry to use it. It is a nice ship, considering it was the Grand Master's own pleasure cruiser."
Accepted, Sweetling. Loki let his mind wrap around hers gently. We can talk later, if you wish.
"I managed to clear out most of the questionable records and recordings." Loki said genially. "The ship has also been thoroughly cleaned, repeatedly. I oversaw that, myself."
"The soundtrack got old. The Grand Master had very specific tastes and they got worn out for me." Loki responded, which made Brunhilde chuckle. "Must've been tough, going to all those parties."
"Too repetitive." Loki said with a small smirk. "The rest I didn't mind as much, although it was often like dancing on a knife's edge with the man."
"Agreed, which is why I mostly just tried to avoid him other than bringing him champions." Brunhilde said with a nod. "I'm glad you're having a good Yule though, Christine. Word is you have several new tricks as well, so once the festivities are over, I'd love to see what you've learned."
"We're a people who are fond of stories, Christine. And you've done things worthy of stories." Brunhilde raised her glass in light toast to her. "And I look forward to that. Are you two going to continue to live in two places?"
"We." Loki confirmed. "Although don't think this gets rid of me entirely. I'll still be here quite a bit."
"Fair enough. Congratulations." Brunhilde replied. "So what've you been up to with the festivities?" Addressed to both of them, the Valkyrie happy to keep conversation light and fun. She was unsurprised to find Thor had gifted Christine a knife, nor his reasoning why. She'd received many good bottles of alcohol herself, and a few new weapons of her own. Modern Migardian ones, actually.
Songs, gifts, the meaning behind some of tradition, as well as some that had been abandoned given their new home. Mostly in the form of Animal Sacrifices, among some that the Norse people had apparently created to appease and entreat their 'gods'. But it's kept mostly happy stories, festive.
"Wine and food are good." Brunhilde said. "Especially good alcohol." She still loved to drink, even though she no longer drank to forget. She'd been healing a bit, in New Asgard.
Thanksgiving kind of baffled both Asgardians, and a few others who came over to join in the talk. A mix of minor dignitaries and Vanir as well as Asgardians. Soon their table was full, with them talking about a bunch more of the holidays and various traditions.
I can be quite the social butterfly when I want to be. You've also become so, and are noted as being close to the King, and Prince, as well as being highly spoken of as healer and Doctor. Whether you have the same renown in your country, in New Asgard you are rather famous now.
You see why I tend to be private in many ways, about my own personal life. It was....easier in Asgard. More people overall, and while we were notable, we also weren't--if that makes sense. Loki didn't mind her closeness, though he was still private. It was a small occasional touch, as well as allowing her closer presence, that were tells. Besides simply that the pair matched.
They danced some more, and mingled, and socialized. Loki was charming, occasionally biting in his commentary--though this seemed expected and with good natured barbs being traded. Eventually it grew late.
You were sort of away in the palace a lot, I'd imagine.
Just being allowed to be near him was enough, she respected his want for privacy. With them dancing and spending the whole evening together there was no doubt they had made an official debut as a couple.
When you're ready, Sweetling. I admit, I am becoming rather bored. Which was not a good thing for Loki to be. It might be why part of his commentary had started to get biting. Especially when some looser tongues started to wag.

Christine does actually like the commodore, it's a nice ship.

This is a good night, and she's not going to encourage the bickering.

Loki hasn't had much need for the ship recently, not with access to Christine's portals.

She has learned quite a lot since she last had a spar with Brunhilde.
"I'd be glad to show you."

"We're going to London." They're actually going to be properly living together.

The conversation is much lighter, talking about songs and gifts.

Not that she would have anyways.
Christine mentions some of the traditions she had growing up, the turkey dinner, the one present on Christmas eve; just general American Christmas.

She loves that they've garnered a diverse crowd to talk about traditions, everyone reminiscing about their fond memories.
We can be quite popular.

She's shifted closer to Loki as the conversation continues, she likes being close to him, especially now that they're open about their relationship.

And both were a bit over being social. She slips her arm in his as they say a few goodbyes before they can leave the ballroom.
