"I've been on Midgard enough to more than get the gesture." Loki teased, waving at her normally. Besides, we can do more of that later too.

She was welcome to enjoy herself as much as she wanted. Loki just enjoyed swimming and floating, before eventually heading back on to the boat and lounging in the sun like a cat. Sunglasses on, drying off.

"Good." There's a laugh through their link.

Christine enjoys swimming around and seeing all the coral. When she does make it back to the boat, there's a fish following her; she's a real princess now.

Loki wouldn't understand the reference sadly. But he has been enjoying lazing like a cat in the sun. Stretched out on one of the benches, tall figure taking up all the space and his arms behind his head. It's only when she returns that he moves, turning his head towards her. Reaching up to lower the sunglasses enough to look at her. "Have fun?"

She pulls the goggles up and nods.

"I made a friend." She points to the fish that is swimming near her legs.

"Excellent, you brought dinner to us." Loki said, and manifested his dagger. He was playing.

She glares.

"Hurt this fish and you'll be taking a plane back to New Asgard."

She is pretty sure he wouldn't actually hurt the little guy.

"Plus it's poisonous."

Loki's expression was unrepentant, although he did de-conjure the dagger. "Planning to make a pet of it?"

"He belongs out here in the wild."

She climbs back onto the boat, it rocks as she gains purchase to get up.

When she'd moved to start climbing, Loki had moved finally to start coming to meet her. When the boat rocked, he reached out. One arm to steady himself against the side, and one reaching for her automatically.

She takes the offered arm, knowing full well that he is strong enough to help her back into the boat.

He is, and aside from that initial rocking it's easier now. Especially since he's braced and helping her. Dry as he was now, there was still no hesitation once she was safely on board again as he wrapped an arm around her waist and hip. "Have fun, Sweetling?"

"It was wonderful, there were so many fish." And she's leaning right back into him.

Loki smiled, genuine and pleased for her. "I'm glad. Next time we'll see about getting you your scuba diving experience."

"I can barely believe it's winter." Not when they are lounging in the warm sun like they are.

She kisses his jawline with a smile.

"What does one get a god for Christmas?"

"That I can't help you with. I'm not entirely sure what I'll be getting my brother for Yule." Turning enough to nuzzle her, kissing her nose teasingly too. "I'm also intrigued to see how the holiday has changed."

"I have no idea what to get any of you." She admits. She's tracing little patterns on his side.

She has an idea for one thing for him, but it will take a bit of work.

Loki leaned up and kissed her forehead, staying there for a moment while he thought. "I'm sure you'll think of something. You're very intelligent and observant. Honestly I've always been of mixed minds on the whole gift giving. While I do love receiving them, it's the obligation part I take umbrage with."

"Do you want to not exchange gifts with one another? If you'd prefer, that's ok with me."

As curious as she would be to what Loki would get her she doesn't want him to feel pressured to get her anything.

Tilting his head, and removing his sunglasses so he met her gaze and blinked at her curiously. "Honestly? No. You're one of the few people I actually WANT to give a gift to." A pause, and a hint of smile. "Besides, the whole concept of gifts other than food and drink being shared is new. One leaves little carvings, along with offerings of food and drink, against the evergreens for the forest spirits. Even Odin, as Old Man Winter, only brings gifts for children traditionally. The whole point of the celebrations are supposed to be celebrating light in the darkness and renewal."

She reaches to caress his face.

"I'll make sure to bring you wine as well."

It was almost instinctive at this point, to lean in to her touch and caress. "I've very rarely had someone I wanted to give gifts to. Usually if I do want to, I don't just wait for certain occasions. I'll just do it." As she had experienced herself quite a few times over now.

"I have noticed that." With the thoughtful little gifts he's sent her.

It's just natural to touch and be touched. Before him she had never been quite so tactile.

"They've all been really lovely gifts, by the way."

She was making up for centuries of lack of affectionate touch outside of his childhood. "I've not exactly been subtle, have I?" He asked with a small smile. "I've tried to be more personal with them, too."

"Not really." She nuzzles him. "You're very romantic, it's a very pleasant surprise."

"I'm using roles to guide me, as this is...new. Or rather, I've never actually cared beyond the façade and superficiality of the role." Loki murmured, kissing her hair. "It is no less genuine on my part though, the desire to express complicated emotions that show you how I feel."
