"Consider it a warning for if you come to Norway." But Loki nodded. "Cold doesn't bother me. I suspect at an extreme cold temperature, I'd simply revert to looking like a proper frost giant. Blue skin, red eyes... The monsters they tell children about in Asgard." His tone was dry, but something about the way he said it...

"Blue skin? That doesn't sound especially monsterous. Sounds kinda cool actually."

And alien, she had been a little disappointed that Asgardians look so human, really ruined all her childhood scifi.

"They're usually taller than I am." Nor can he keep the hint of peevishness from his tone with that statement. "They did actually try to conquer Earth over a millenia ago." She just kept puzzling him. Why couldn't he scare her?

Well because he wasn't really trying, but still...

"You're tall, but not really a giant, that's true."

She can't help herself, "who hasn't tried to take over Earth, you know?"

She still doesn't think there is anything to be scared of. Once you get past the alien part, why would blue skin freak her out?

"For such a backwater, it is surprisingly popular." Loki replied with a grin. "But no, I am healing fine. Just tired."

"Very popular. Is it the beaches? We have some good beaches."

There's something really satisfying about making him smile.

"Glad to hear it. I'd have been a little sad if I accidentally killed you."

"I'll take your word for it about the beaches, I've never been." Loki raised an eyebrow, still grinning. "I think you'd have to try, to actually kill me. Besides, wouldn't that be a way to go. All the times I've escaped death only to die to a human doctor in an alley in New York while in disguise."

Her smile is wicked, "I do like a challege."

Sure, playfully threatening murder seems like the way to flirt with Loki.

"I'd make sure the mythology was updated upon your demise."

"Careful Doctor, I could get to like you." Loki warned, blue-green eyes sparkling with mischief at the banter.

"I don't think I'd mind that."

They have very good banter, she's really pleased at how nice it is to have him in her space while he heals. This whole thing could have gone terribly.

"I'm getting some groceries delivered so you'll have more than apples to eat."

Loki gave a slow blink, and was still grinning. "It's probably a good thing you're not close with your magical friends then. They'd warn you against me no doubt." He himself had already warned her that he wasn't sentimental.

Her comment about groceries however, brought up an idea. "I am...unaccustomed to paying for things. But to repay your kindness I would take you to dinner. A very nice dinner." It would be fine--he'd simply nudge people to do what he wanted.

"Then I'd just hang out with you more to be spiteful."

She does enjoy pushing a certain sorcerer's buttons, or at least she did.

"That sounds really nice. You'll probably want to wear something besides your armor though."

"Then I shall set you up with Eric." Loki teased, winking at her playfully. "I think I definitely like you, Doctor." With approval, and his grin was still all mischief.

"Eric did bleed all over me though, he loses a few points for that."

It's easy to talk to Loki, dangerously so. She brings her empty coffee mug to the dishwasher and leans against the counter for a moment.

"Can I look at your wound?"

"He couldn't exactly help that." Loki responded dryly. before taking another bite of his apple then placing it aside with her question. Nodding, he stood once more and moved to pull his shirt up enough that she could see the wound in his side.

It really did look better, as the bruising was minimal.

She's shifting to get a better look, her hands coming to his skin to feel for heat and to check the wound.

"You've done probably three days worth of healing overnight."

Loki didn't flinch when she prodded near the wound, but it was clear he didn't exactly enjoy the touch either. At least from his expression. But then, he had mentioned it felt tender still. "I do remember telling you that if we could stop the bleeding, I'd just need rest."

"Being told is different from seeing it in action." Her hands don't linger, she's separated this into professional mode.

"Can probably remove the stitches tomorrow."

It probably was different seeing it in action, true.

"Another chance to try and kill me hmm? Since you'll be using a scalpel?" That teasing grin was back, as Loki pulled his shirt back down.

"I'll be using scissors. Which could also be used for stabbing, bit more work than a scalpel."

Teasing about murder is surprising light with him, and it amuses her to no end. She's sure he knows she wouldn't be able to actually kill him even if she wanted.

"Messier too, but you'd get more leverage depending on the kind of wound." She would have to make a concentrated effort to kill him, and they both knew it. Then again, Asgardians could be reasonably bloodthirsty in the right situations and he had been raised an Asgardian. "Besides, I said I'd bleed all over your couch next time."

"Shit. That would make it much harder to cover up, I'd never be able to move a blood-soaked couch out of here unnoticed."

She fakes a dramatic sigh.

"Guess you'll be alive to tell the tale of me saving your life."

"My scheme is working then." He says with a chuckle, before moving to retrieve what was left of his apple. "You have the day off...when did you want to start learning about how to shield yourself better?"

"You are clever." She nods with a laugh.

"Whenever you feel up to it. I don't know how draining it is for you."

"Oh this isn't even that clever." She had a very nice laugh, and Loki enjoyed teasing her.

"It won't be draining for me, but it will be exhausting for you." He said, serious once more. "You'll be doing a lot of mental work."
