Christine is too excited to try her spell and to see him that she forgot to be careful.
The spell has already alerted her to the people outside. The spell is set up to react to attempts at forced entry. A red glow lights up around the door when Loki uses a spell; a warning to anyone trying to force entry before the spell throws it's weight to push away an intruder.
It was interesting to watch for Sif, as it looked as if Loki had been stung, and then shoved back. She enjoyed the confusion playing on the Trickster's face. He hadn't been shoved far, and brown-eyes narrowed. "So that's what it does..." He murmured, before moving to take the knob again. Attempting a different spell, since brute force might just result in it being thrown back at him. This was hundreds of little questing threads, seeking to weave themselves into the other spell. Slide around it, insinuate itself, mimic it.
From the outside, it just looked like Eric was standing there staring at the door, holding the handle for several minutes. Until he smiled, and turned it, and heard clicks from Christine's locks undoing.
Christine is standing on the other side of the door, arms crossed, a smile on her lips. She knew he would be able to get through, but the force of it would keep most wannabe intruders going to a different door.
"That took longer than I expected, you must be tired."
"I was trying to not break your spell outright. Although I'd love to see you cast it again, so I could still do that if you wanted." Loki replied, picking up his suitcase and stepping in. Sif followed, shaking her head, and politely shut the door behind them. "Hello Christine. He's obviously staying, but I can't. I'll give you my contact info and where I am staying though so if you need me..."
"We shall. And I wanted to give you something. I hope you've been practicing as best you can." Someone hadn't been informed that Christine already had a dagger. Sif pulled out a small box, and handed it to Christine. Inside was a folded pocket knife.
Hello Sweetling, I missed you. Loki simply waited, watching this with an amused smile.
"You've taken steps into a very dangerous world, Christine and you are my friend. Besides which I feel that everyone should know how to defend themselves." Reaching out to clasp the other's hand. "Watch your distance, as it's much shorter than a sword. And I'll be in touch about lunch. The cab is still waiting."
"I doubt you'd believe me if I promise to behave myself?" Loki said with a grin. Sif rolled her eyes but was smiling. "Your right, but try to not cause too much trouble? Nothing that I have to clean up after you on?" The warrior moved to let herself out, with more parting words.
The cab had indeed been waiting--meter turned off, thanks to Loki's suggestions. Sif hoped they would be alright. She had an important job to do herself...
Once Sif is gone, Loki's grin morphed into a true smile. Pleased and glad to see her. "I believe it's my turn to be a guest for at least a week. Assuming you can stand me that long?"
He's catching her and holding her tight. Leaning his head against hers, brushing her mind with his own, letting her feel his happiness through the link. "I'll try not to wear out my welcome." Murmured softly against her hair.
...I didn't know I could actually miss someone like this.
At some point they'd moved to kissing, although neither would be able to say who started it. Sharing happiness that way as well, lips caressing lips and one hand moved to her cheek and jaw, thumb stroking her skin. Holding her close, arm around her waist, hand splayed against her hip possessively.
Oh? Am I putting my things in the guest-room, or your room?
It wasn't a surpsie that they were immediately kissing, or the way she ran her fingers through his hair. They've talked on occasion, so in that way it's been better than the first time apart, though they are much closer after her week in New Asgard.
Definitely not a surprise--that week in New Asgard had ensured they were closer. She'd asked to be his after all.
Hopefully it's not a surprise then when he shifts just enough to pick her up, that arm still around her waist. Mostly so he can grab his suitcase with his other hand and start walking to her bedroom. The satchel could stay where it was for now.
And here I was thinking only of how I should put my things away, but I didn't want to let you go. Amusement sparkled along their link, his mind caressing hers. I most certainly do not object though.
His suitcase is left by the door of her room. Wrapping her once more in both arms as he climbs on the bed and they sprawl prone and wrapped around each other.
Mostly innocent thoughts, Sweetling. Then his mind (and body) are pleasantly occupied by other things.
Both arms are around her, legs still tangled, and his mouth is against her hair and forehead. "Like I said, I...didn't actually know I could miss someone." It's quiet, honest and vulnerable.
"Very clever. I had to insinuate myself and mimic the spell to unlock it." He praised. "Which means I also need to help you guard against that in it, but since most people would try to brute force it, it's a good." Kissing her forehead. "What else have you been learning, Christine? And when you can let me go for a bit, I also have some things for you."
That surprised him, and she could see it. "And how is your Sorcerer? Still convinced I have nefarious plans for you no doubt?" Not that Loki had done much to help matters. Christine had left New Asgard via Stephen's magic. The spell hiding the love-bites along her neck had only held while she was in New Asgard... Loki was quite pleased to wave and smirk at Dr. Strange through his portal.
"He's been very helpful. After the long chat about how dangerous it is for me to be sleeping with you. Thanks for that by the way." There's a little narrowing of her eyes.
She hadn't been planning on telling Stephen that she and Loki had been going at it like rabbits, but then she walked though that portal with a neck covered in bruises.

Once inside, Loki dropped the disguise entirely.

"Of course, thank you Sif, it's really good to see you. We'll get lunch sometime?"

It's practical, but still has that colorfulness that Christine appreciates.
I missed you too. I'll be flinging myself at you shortly. She has missed the feel of him in her mind, hearing him.

Christine laughs at their interactions. And though she is happy to see Sif, she very much wants to kiss Loki.

It's been a long enough time, they both need this. They have time to talk and catch up, first though, reestablishing their physical connection.

It's not entirely too long before they are curled up together, bare skin to bare skin basking in the afterglow.
"I have missed you so much."

She knows how vulnerable such an admission is. She generally only really knows his emotions because she can feel them.
"How was my door? It should keep out the more basic of people that might want to get in."

"I've got a few basic shielding spells for me as well." She kisses him quickly. "Really? I've got something for you too."
