I like using a dagger more than I expected. I guess it doesn't feel so unlike a scalpel.

She reaches out to touch the jewlery, it's beautiful.

"What does the spell do?" She isn't immediately opposed to needing a little blood for the spell.

"It'll allow you to conjure your dagger to your hand, so long as you wear the bracelet. The blood will tie them together, and tie it to you." Loki let a pleased smile come to his face. "It's more like what I do, than as clumsy as Thor summoning Mjolnir was."

Now that he's holding both, he concentrates and holds the dagger out in one hand, while the bangle is held on his palm. "Bind Liker å like, vev tråd til tråd, forsegler trylleformelen, og disse to blir gift." The bangle moved to hover, then turn so that it could move over the dagger, like a needle being threaded, as Loki switched the dagger in his hands, and re-caught the bangle.

Offering her the dagger again. "Now, the dagger needs to draw a bit of your blood, which then gets absorbed by the bangle. When you do, repeat these words. Binde meg og veve meg."

"Oh, that sounds useful." She likes the idea of always having it at hand.

She nods, theres not really hesitation as she makes a neat little cut in her arm (her hands are too important to damage) while repeating the phrasing.

Loki watches while she completes the spell; the dagger gleams when the blood touches it, as the bangle does too when the blood is absorbed in it. "Now it's a matter of simply learning to manifest it and dismiss it." But that could wait. Taking her arm gently, he leans over and kisses the wound.

"We can practice that later."

Working with sharps all day she's gotten her fair share of cuts and needle sticks so she's very calm about the little trickle of blood.

She gives him a little smile.

"This will just need a little bandage." Maybe a butterfly suture to make sure it heals straight.

Blue-green eyes look up at her, not happy, before he's kissing the wound again. Then to kiss her hand, before addressing the other bracelet in the box. "This, is something I've never tired before. I'm not a dwarf. But it would've taken time to go to Nidavellir and back."

Taking the golden woven bracelet out, moved to fasten it around her wrist. "It will not hide you from Heimdall, but it should hide you from most everyone else. Brunhilde was kind enough to test it with me." Once it was on, he twined their fingers. "This is skjultblad. It's a veiling and concealment spell. You'll show up in mirrors and on electronics--it's not foolproof. But it will hide you from most everyone's perception. You just have to think firmly to yourself 'I want to hide' while picturing the bracelet. To reverse it, you do the same and say 'I want to be seen'."

She's realizing just how much he cares, he's gone to quite a lot of effort to find things to protect her.

"May I try?" She's curious as to how easily her magic will take to it.

It wasn't just him, but yes--signs that he cared. Her other friends among the Asgardians had also seen a need for her protection too. Thor had given his approval easily.

"Please do." Letting her hand go, he sits back a bit so it can be a proper test.

She draws her focus to not wanting to be seen.

I want to hide

She can feel a wash of magic that comes over her.

"I can tell you're there, because I can still feel you--but that's because of our link." Bringing one hand up in thought, Loki tilted his head and studied where she was. At least, where he thought she was. "IF I concentrate, I can tell something is off--the couch still bears a depression where you're sitting. But no sooner do I try and grasp the thought than it's slipping away. I can't perceive you."

Just like with Brunhilde.

She's going to use this to her advantage, getting off of the sofa and moving to him, a hand just ghosting over his cheek.

"Thank you, for my new defenses."

He tries to lean into her touch, still having to concentrate just to recognize something is 'wrong' per se. "It's not just me who believes you need them. All of our people have been cautioned about humans. To be careful, to act as protectors--it's Asgard's traditional role over the nine realms. But our people are now having to adjust to it in a new way."

But not all humans would be getting gifts like these.

"But I have a personal protector." Her fingers run through his hair, before dancing down the side of his throat.

She is grateful to have his protection, but she is also pleased to be growing stronger herself. She doesn't want to play a damsel in distress again.

This was definitely a new experience. Loki tried to reach for her hand. Fighting the spell every step of the way. Yes, he could break it, or at least unbind it enough for him to perceive her... This was more interesting though.

"You do." He confirmed. "Mine to protect, to care for, remember?"

Her hand moves just out of reach. There's a subtle noise of movement and then both of her hands are sliding from his knees upward.

"Of course I remember. I'm doing my part to be a bit less fragile."

Definitely more interesting to play along with this. "Given what I've seen of you, I do not think you fragile." She had an inner strength--it was why her soul shone like a star. Even though he couldn't perceive her, he shifted to make room for her, leaning back slightly on the couch.

"Still better to be prepared, my human form is squishy." She teases. Her hands run slowly up his legs but stop before they get to where he might want them to be.

"Agreed." A hint lower than usual in his voice, blue-green eyes trying to track her at all. "Enjoying your new toy?" With a hint of smirk--he still adored her playfulness.

"I am enjoying this quite a lot." Another bit of shifting movement and he will feel lips on his throat.

It's very fun to tease him knowing that he can't see her. It's better than a blindfold.

She could feel him shiver, swallowing and he tilted his head for her. Fighting the spell again, trying to move his hands to hold her. It was hardly fair, but it was definitely interesting.

"No touching." It's soft but an order. That shiver has her going. Maybe now she will be able to make him beg.

She kisses his pulse point and up to his earlobe.

That makes him laugh, but it ends in a gasp. A good gasp, and he lets his hands drop. "What would you have me do, Sweetling?"

Her lips are still at his ear, her breath caressing the skin.

"Beg."

There's a tiny chuckle and then she's moved on again, hands trailing down his chest.

"Make me." Came the challenge in return. "You're not the first person to try this game with me, Christine." Despite the affectionately insolent tone, her name was said as a lover says it.

"But I'm the one you like most."

Her fingers stop to tease his nipples and her head dips back in to nibble at his neck, teeth draging softly across skin.
