He's on his best behavior and she does wonder if he's trying to seduce her.

"I do recall you saying you would have been fine. So maybe you didn't need me at all."

"Now that sounds like a story." There's definitely curiosity in his eyes and smile. "And maybe. But as it is, you did find me, and stitch me up, and allow me to rest. Which ensured I would be alright."

"It is not a story at all. He's a terrible man, is only a doctor for the money, keeps asking me out and offering to do a boob job for me."

Truly the way to a womans heart, free tits. She's leaned a bit across the table to be just a little bit closer.

"I'm just glad I was able to help."

Loki blinks, then snorts and doesn't bother to hide his disdain. "Sounds as if he's compensating for something, but I do hope you didn't find out. You'd have wasted your time and that's a precious thing for you." Especially since they had discussed how humans had so little of it.

She wasn't the most physically beautiful woman he'd ever seen. But she certainly didn't need enhancement. Not when her spirit and mind shone through to enhance what physical beauty she did have.

"It's certainly been a more interesting experience than a tour of central park." With a sly little grin, and amusement in his voice.

Their waitstaff was fast approaching, soon to get their attention.

"I absolutely did not find out."

Though there had been a moments temptation about the boobs, just a tiny second of consideration on if she wanted to change hers before deciding against it.

"You don't know that. I'm a great tour guide."

"Then perhaps the next time I'm in town, I'll take up your challenge. Find out how interesting a tour guide you are." Still with that little grin, before giving his attention to the waitstaff. This was the kind of restaurant you ordered all your courses before hand, and it was all fancy, complete with French names where appropriate. Which Loki had no difficulty pronouncing, as he placed his order then looked at her. While he didn't actually speak French, he was fluent in Latin.

Christine does have a passing knowledge of French from college and her pronunciation is pretty good when she orders.

"Should we have wine or champagne?" She asks him.

"My preference is for wine always, but if you'd prefer champagne..." With a nod of his head and hand towards her. When they had taken breaks earlier during their training, he had opted for water though.

She had also opted for water, wine would have been a terrible idea during training.

She orders them the waiter reccomend bottle of wine and when the staff had left she turns back to him.

"Do you have a high alcohol tolerance?"

"Yes." With a curious look, brow rising in question. "Do the stories not imply as much?" Most Asgardians (or Jotunn) would have a high tolerance compared to a human anyways.

"Afraid I plan to get you drunk then have my wicked way?" There was an amused quirk to his mouth. "That would be just so clumsy and rather cliche and boring."

"They do. But since not all of them are correct I figured I'd ask."

Humans are weak in so many ways. Christine likes her wine so she has a decent tolerance, especially for a woman of her statue.

"You would be so lucky to have me drunkenly fondling you."

That made him chuckle. "I don't think it would be your most attractive side. The conversation would likely also suffer."

"Is that really what you look for during a hook up? Good conversation?"

She hasn't had a drunken one night stand in probably a decade.

"I prefer my companions to be witty and intelligent generally." Which didn't mean he hadn't had drunken misadventures. "I don't like being bored, basically."

"You'll get sick of me very quickly. I am boring."

Her home life is quiet and usually rather uneventful.

"So you said before, but I don't believe it." Her home life might be quiet, but her job likely made up for it. And quiet and uneventful did not always equal boring. They'd both admitted to enjoying long baths, or reading a great deal.

In some ways she's convincing herself that he will get bored and dissappear to make it easier when he inevitably does.

"Tell me something no one knows about you."

That had both brows shooting up, and he went quiet. His eyes, as Eric, were brown but she knew that look by now. Loki was studying her, assessing and measuring and deciding how he wanted to answer. If he answered. "Not yet." He finally said softly, but there was something in his expression... He was being entirely honest, and trying to be certain she knew that.

She nods. She can accept that he's not ready for that level of vulnerability.

"What about something people often get wrong about you?"

That seems like it might be a safer request.

Somewhat safer, but he's quiet again while thinking. "I....don't hate my brother." Not that one could tell given all the times they'd fought and he'd stabbed the other. Even until very recently, Loki acted like he wanted nothing to do with his brother. "It's very complicated." Again, an entirely honest answer.

"Families are complicated even here, and when you're not royal. I can't imagine the sibling rivalry though, there had to be a lot of one upping each other."

She had been similar with her older sister, always feeling the need to have better grades, to practice skills more. To earn a bit more affection.

"You're putting it politely." With half of his mouth quirked up in a faint smirk. "Why go into surgery? Into the medical field at all?" She was given some time to answer, as the waitstaff approached. Pouring their wine, then leaving the bottle. Not long after the first part of their meal would arrive.

She is. And she waits for the staff to leave before she answers.

"I always loved science. I was the one girl who was eager to dissect a frog in class. And I worked really hard on my grades so it just sort of made sense to go to med school. Surgery was what I fell in love with when I got there. I enjoy that my patients are quiet during the hardest parts of my job." She smiles, "and maybe I like knives a bit."

"All the more reason to teach you how to use one then." A pause. "And you like helping people. Both for your own reasons but also for no personal benefit whatsoever." He's smiling again though, a soft little one that isn't just polite.

"I do like helping. And it is a bit of both. Because I can and to prove to my family that I'm good at this."

And that she can make her own way without help.
