"I think we can manage that, my Sweetling." Loki murmured, leaning in for one more kiss. Keeping it quick and soft and sweet. He kept hold of her hand, and lead the way back to the bedroom, and their closet.

Tonight was going to be even more exciting then she had imagined because she is positive Loki didn't mention his gift to anyone.

"Are you wearing horns tonight?" She's already helping him with some of the fastenings to his armor.

It was a very stripped down form of his armor, so it didn't take much work. There are lots of soft touches as he helps her out of her own Asgardian garb. He'd picked out a dark black 3 piece suit, with a deep emerald green shirt. Again there was the gold half-circular tie-clip pinning the black tie.

She smiles at the suit, and takes a moment to kiss his chest over his heart.

Her gown sparkles in green. She had chosen it to finally get her own little cape for an evening.

"So beautiful, vakker Christine..." Murmured and kissing her softly and sweetly.

"My love." She kisses him in return. They look very much the couple and they are a stunning pair.

Once they're dressed, Christine summons the emerald necklace he had made for her that first night they had shared a bed.

"Put this on me?"

Loki nodded, moving to place the necklace on her, and caressing her neck while he did so. Leaning to whisper in her ear, she can probably hear the hybrid smile/smirk. "My Love."

She tilts her head for that little kiss as the cool metal is draped around her neck.

"Yours. Always yours." She knows him enough to be able to imagine the look on his face.

"Are we doing formal introductions like that first time?"

"Surprisingly not, as we've also banned cameras and already issued official statements for any press." Fortunately the ball was being held on the Statesman too, so could be restricted.

"It's just New Asgard then." That seems to please her, it's become her second home and she is well respected and liked.

She turns and gives him a little curtly.

"Your Highness." She offers her hand to be escorted.

"It's meant to be." Loki responded, and then he was bowing in turn as she curstied. "My Lady." Just as serious, but also genuine. Before taking her hand.

Again she really likes the sound of that. Her cheeks turn pink as she grins.

"You look very good." Everything feels a little different, she's not as cautious walking with him, she's not trying to make sure she doesn't seem too interested.

"You always think I look good." Loki teased her with a wink. "But you already know what I think about how you look."

As they moved through the hallways, Loki was still not relaxed. But he was inwardly very pleased she was more relaxed. The Statesman did actually have a general purpose grand hall, where the ball was being held. A small orchestra was set up in a corner, and there was space for both dancing and some tables set out with servants circulating.

She laughs, "better than the alternative."

Christine had accepted that he would likely never really relax in public. They make it into the ballroom, and she doesn't let him go, this is the first time they get to really be 'together' on the Statesmen.

A few people glance at them, but not for very long.

Loki ignores the glances, and the curiosity is again mostly simply because he was notable. Thor and Sif were also their, Sif in a long dress with silver-accents that were almost like armor. Thor had dressed to match in a dark midnight blue suit with black shirt and silver accents. The pair, once they spotted Loki and Christine, were making their way over.

"Brother! Christine!" Thor greeted with a smile.

"Thor, Sif, you both look wonderful."

Sif manages to be elegant while still looking like she could take nearly anyone in a fight.

Sif nods her head. "It is always a pleasure, Christine." She'll take in how both she and Loki look, and raise an eyebrow with a conspiratorial smile. Thor raises one of Christine's hands, bowing over it. "I am over shadowed by you and Sif, my friend. Thank you anyways. How are you? Have you been enjoying yourself?"

Loki still has Christine's hand on his arm, and offers a smile--although it's hard to tell if it's genuine or not.

Thor has taken her left hand and she wonders if he will notice the ring.

"I've been having a wonderful time. I feel very much at home."

He would not right away, but Sif did. Her eyes flicked from Christine, to Loki, and she tilted her head in silent question. She looked like she was fighting a smile. "That honors and pleases me. You have been a valued friend both to our people, and to my family and myself personally." Thor said with a warm smile.

Now however, he notices the ring. Blinking, then looking up at Loki. "Brother?"

"We can arrange it later, Your Majesty." Loki replied smoothly, that hard-to-tell-if-genuine-smile remaining on his face.

Christine will give Sif a little nod, her own smile growing a bit.

"Your brother remains as secretive and surprising as ever." She gives Loki's arm a little squeeze and a caress of the mind.

"He's had many many years of practice." Thor says with a bigger smile for Christine, and a nod of his head at Loki. Sif chuckled, and reached out to Christine's shoulder. "Now, I believe he has changed. At least changed enough." She said softly.

"I beg your pardon?" Loki murmured, arching a brow at her but he was grinning.

"Don't worry, I'm sure he will still set something on fire before Yule is over."

Christine knows she has brought about some change in the god and she likes to believe it's good change.

"He has already, considering it was part of the celebrations." Thor says with a small chuckle. "He's been up to other tricks, but they've been much tamer than in prior yule celebrations."

"I've been distracted this year, and had better ways to occupy my time in many ways." Loki responded. His mind brushed against Christine's sweetly.

"And you're getting very old, my dear." She teases him, it's the first time she's gotten to be so openly flirtatious with him.

you've not been naked for all your other Yule celebrations?

"Thor is still older." Loki replies with a smug smile of his own. Thor chuckles taking Sif's hand and placing it against his own arm. "True... But there will be stories of you friend Christine. And not simply about how you've captured the God of Mischief's heart."
