To those whose myths and legends we inspired, we are. They often have a lifespan between fifty to ninety years.
[His own free hand moved to twine with hers.]
The second time I had been kicked out of the bifrost by my here-to-fore unknown of psychopathic sister, which essentially sent me to a planet where the trash usually ends up. Any and everything, and a sort of society had formed based around the whims and desires of a being known as the Grandmaster. He held gladiatorial games for sport, among other things. I was there for a few weeks before my brother showed up. Despite that it had only been a few second for him.
( she let him, half tempted to note how affectionate he was being in that moment; and how vulnerable while he spoke to her. She let him speak though, fingers threading through his hair. )
Time is messed up no matter where you go. But I'm sorry you were forced into that - any of it, really, this place included. You don't seem like you hate it, but... I assume you don't like it either.
Asgardians can live up to the mid thousands for their lifespan, as can the Jotnar, that is, the frost giants of Jotunheim. It would not surprise me to find that others in the nine realms or beyond are similar, as I believe the Vanir are long lived and sturdy as much as the Asgardians. The dark elves...well, they existed before the Asgardians did. Back before the world had light.
Humans are a young species, where I'm from.
[Blue-green eyes looked up at her, and he offered a soft smile.]
I shouldn't be troubling you though, although...thank you for listening. I have not had that in a while--someone to simply listen. Here is better than the alternative, unless Vaeros really can fulfill the contract.
My people - my original people, the Sylvan, can live into the thousands. I didn't make it to two-hundred - and now I think I'm... I don't know. Closer to six? There's also the Lunari, who are immortal. And the dwarves... almost everyone but humans are long lived back home, too.
( she smiled back at him; raised their joined hands, and gently kissed his knuckles. ) You're welcome. Did you figure out what you wished for?
Oh? Like what? ( a very obvious hint of flirtation in her own tone, eyes bright. ) and because I don't give people things expecting something in return. That's just fucked up.
( she laughed. )
Doesn't mind what? Me giving people gifts, sleeping around, dating, or all of the above? Because either way, he's encouraged me to seek people out- I'm needy, he's busy and needs space. He doesn't mind.
Oh, I don't mind staying here. ( She looped her arms around his neck as silently instructed, leaning up to kiss the tip of his nose. ) I just figured if you wanted more privacy is all...
The garden isn't nearly as populated or as public as the one the other night.
[It also likely wasn't enchanted, which had been the other reason he was wary at the ball. His eyes closed in a slow blink at the kiss, smiling before tilting his head up. To catch her lips in a kiss of his own before she could pull too far away.]
( With nothing more to say and his lips on hers, Night Sky returned his kiss eagerly. She gave an insistent tug to urge him down as she lowered to the ground, a hand freed for only as long as it took to shift the drooping branches of the willow tree like a curtain around them; casting them into shadow only dimly lit by what sun could peek through the leaves, and assuring no one would see them whilst they did their horizontal dance. )

[Trailing off, moving his fingers gently in her grip.]
I'm not used to people gifting me things without wanting something in return. Or expecting some kind of favor or privilege.

I'm not going to ask for anything if that's what you're implying. You don't have to pay me back - not unless you really want to.

[Blue-green eyes were studying her, filled with a myriad of emotions that were hidden. Curiousity in his tone though, no judgement.]
I mean, I certainly can think of some ways to repay your kindness. But why be so kind to me in the first place?
[No, he didn't want to let go--although Loki did move to sit up once more. To face her, while still keeping their hands joined.]
Also, your paramour doesn't mind?

[There's a laugh with her continued words though, and a smile. Bringing their joined hands up once more for him to kiss her fingers.]
Well, I'm glad I don't have to dodge a jealous suitor. What would you want from me though?
no subject
( She cocked her head quizzically. )
Really depends on what you're willing to give. I'm never opposed to a tryst... or several.

[With a soft chuckle, inviting her closer if she wanted.]
Seems like we both get something out of if though. Which I don't mind at all.

I have a room inside, too, don't worry.
Wrap with a fade to black soon?
[She is very much allowed closer and to lean. He's just gonna encourage their joined hands up, and hers around his neck.]
Sounds good
Fade us out maybe?
