"So they control fate?" That seems like something she doesn't appreciate, the idea that her fate is out of her own control and in the hands of someone else.
"Is it really that rare? Between you and Stephen, I have very good teachers. Even if only one of you could kill me if you needed to."
"The debate about Fate and Free Will is older than many suspect, Christine." Loki said with a teasing grin. "The Norns are weavers, and things are ever in motion. They are wyrd, and wield wyrd magic. They are OF wyrd magic so to speak."
"The truth is Sweetling I do not know. The only time I've heard or seen magic like this involved an infinity stone in the form of the Aether." Reaching out to touch her face, with a soft smile. "I hope to not have to do that. I'm rather fond of you."
"Yes, I would imagine it is." Which makes a lot of sense really.
She leans into that touch, having finished her breakfast. "I'm grateful that you would though, as much as I'd prefer living. If I can't control it, I don't want to be a danger."
It's good that she's been bound, and she's going to learn with two powerful magic users who are likely able to protect themselves better than most others.
Thumb stroking her cheek, that same soft smile remained--but also looked grateful. "I would not mind you being dangerous in the right ways. You're stepping into a perilous world already."
"When I learn to control this magic, I won't need nearly as much protection, will I?"
She will be dangerous herself, and perfectly capable of handling most threats on her own, and after the past few days, she very much appreciates the idea of handling herself.
"You will, although if you wanted to learn to be dangerous in more mundane ways, that can be arranged too." Loki replied encouragingly. "Ready for your tour? I would dress warmly, as some areas we'll be touring are open to the air."
"Might want some basics." She should at least learn a bit of physical defense as well. "I'll go get a cloak, and some warmer shoes."
She leaves his side after another quick kiss. She has a cloak laid out that is lined in a fine fur and she imagines it will keep her nice and warm outside. In the clothes, she looks a bit like she fits in with the Asgardians at least a little.
She does indeed, more than she'd suspect although she'd see soon enough. "So, besides the library and my rooms, what else did you want to see in the Palace?" Loki closed the book and it vanished from his hand in a shimmer of green.
Moving with her, offering his arm and halting by the entry-way and bell-pull.
"Whatever your favorite places were. Where did you go, besides the library, to be alone as a child."
She wants the chance to learn about him as much as about the palace and Asgard. This may be the only chance she gets to see what his life is usually like when he isn't visiting her on Earth.
She has no way of knowing, but if they are to be lovers, she will come to Asgard again.
Her response brings a sincere smile, and he leans in to kiss her cheek. "I'll see what I can do, Christine." Pulling the bell-pull, knowing Ylfa would know what to do while they were gone. "Let's start with a general tour, and I'll point out some of my favorite spots."
So off on the tour they went. She would see the main throne room, the main banquet hall, the training courtyard...standard areas of the Palace. Much time was spent in the library, as it was floor to ceiling books with ladders to reach the heights that moved along rails. Comfy chairs and more candle-lamps and torches, and even a balcony area for outdoor reading with an overlook of another courtyard.
"I did when I could." Loki had moved to take a seat, just watching her as she moved and appreciated the space. "When I was younger, it was one of my favorite places to be with my mother."
"I would have been in here all the time." She traces her fingers over some of the spines of the books before picking one and opening it to see what the inside looks like.
"Oh I was quite active as a child too, in addition to getting the same schooling as my brother. We were raised as princes should be." Loki had a fond smile as he watched her. The book she'd picked had more runes, and lavish illustrations that almost seemed to move. Some skimming of it would give her the idea it was another history book.
That made Loki chuckle. "Yes and no. Science and Magic are one and the same here, so it is magic in the way you mean. But also simply the way the illustrations were painted."
Loki let her move to touch, bringing his hands to join hers. Blue-green eyes held laughter and amusement, and that teasing grin remained. She wouldn't sense anything--again, he was heavily shielded.
"That's because I'm shielded, Christine." Loki responded with a hint of laugh. Then, where his hand held hers, he let mage energy come forward. Deep greenish-yellow, she'd be able to feel projection.
It makes sense that he would be well shielded, he's had centuries of practice.
She sees the glow and feels it at the same time. A tiny 'oh' escapes her lips. It's not like the faint buzz, it's more like a wave of warmth that spreads from her hand upwards.

She's wandering around it wide eyed.
"You spent a lot of time in here, didn't you?" She would do exactly the same.

The way the illustrations seem to move looks like magic and as she turns the pages she feels almost a humming in her fingertips.
"Is it magic? Is that what I'm feeling?"

She wonders if this is something that comes with magic, a new sense to tell where magic is.

She moves to sit next to him, a hand reaching out to touch him, to see if her new sense can pick up on the magic in him.
