"Sentiment Christine..." Loki murmured against her mouth, letting that mage energy fade. "If anything, I should be cold. I'm a frost giant." Spoken in between soft kisses and little nuzzles.
"You're right. I'm a runt and was apparently abandoned and left to die, from what Odin said." Loki leaned his forehead against hers, eyes closed. Close, so he could speak, but no longer between kisses. "I'm the biological son of Laufey, the deceased king of the Jotun."
She would have a LOT to learn about why that was all significant. The Frost Giants were one of the most ancient enemies of the Asgardians, besides the dark elves. Loki's voice as he spoke was carefully neutral.
Leaning into her touch, one hand moving to cover hers. "I am. I...did not find out in a good way." Still carefully neutral. Before she could respond though, he was leaning in to kiss her softly.
There is a tenderness in her kiss, as if she is apologizing for the hurt he's been through. It is the easiest way to express such sentiment without being chastised for it.
It had also been the easiest way to end the discussion. Or at least that trail of it. He'd given her a very gentle chastisement, as he didn't really do sentiment. Loki couldn't stop her from being sentimental though.
The kiss goes on longer than he'd meant, soft emotions in it that he usually did not express well.
Loki chuckled softly, nuzzling her nose. "You're quite correct. Except that I wanted us to start in a proper bed. I plan to savor it, Christine--and I will ensure you will too."
"It could also simply be practical." Loki pointed out, accepting the teasing. "I'm a hedonist, if you haven't figured it out yet. Besides" Pausing, sly smile coming to his face. "I thought you wanted to see my rooms?"
"You're a hedonist, but you've also been very respectful of my limits, even when you could have seduced me weeks ago." So as hedonistic as he is, there's a bit of a sign that he does care about her.
"I have been enjoying the dance Christine." Before he leaned in to kiss her again, still soft and gentle. Light kisses, with only hints of deeper fire.
She has also enjoyed the dance, all the flirting finally leading up to them ending up in Asgard together to finally adjust their friendship parameters.
She has her own heat in the kiss and the way her fingers run through his hair.
She also must've noticed by now that he leaned into her touch when it was given. Not quite affection-starved, but also very selective in how he received it or gave it. Where his hand curled around hers from when she cupped his face, he moved them. Breaking the kiss only to turn and kiss her palm. "Were you finished with the library? Anywhere else?"
"Any servant can help and guide you here until you learn the way, if I'm not available. You're a guest, Christine, and this room will be open to you." Truthfully most places would be open to her within the palace. Anywhere she was not to go likely would have guards.
Loki hmm'd to himself, before knowing what HE considered the best view. "It's a walk." He warned her, although they wouldn't be leaving the palace quite yet to get there.
That just made him snort. "If you want a horse, it seems easier to use the stables." Teasing her, but getting to his feet anyways. Keeping their hands joined as he lead the way out of the library and into the halls.
Loki's smile was amused, and he deliberately leaned in to her ear while they walked. "Christine, if you're to ride me, I have a better way you could do so." Teasing her, especially since it was a quick comment and then he was pulling away enough they could walk easily.
Through hallways, up an occasional staircase, before heading almost in the same direction as the throne-room from before. Leading her to what seemed at first to be a small room set in a column, with a gate across the front of it--of all things, it was an elevator. In the same style as everything else, with a panel, golden lines of magic and technology fused.

She isn't sure what a frost giant is.
"You're not that tall." She teases.

She moves both hands to cradle his face.
"So you were adopted by Odin?" She tries to stay just as neutral, she doesn't want to say the wrong thing.

When she pulls away, she's mischievous.
"Being the prince, no one would question you if we just went at it in the library."
