"Ah, so that's where you want to go next?" There were limits and other restrictions, but many perks as well to having grown up royal. "We should start our way back."

"That is, of course, if you've decided I'm allowed to see your rooms."

She kisses his cheek and takes his hand. She wants to see his rooms, for more than the obvious reasons.

"You've let me in your apartment. It would be only fair." Although he really didn't care about fair most of the time. Leading her away from the balcony and out of the circular room. Down the hall, back down the elevator. The Royal Suites were actually only a floor or two away from the guest rooms where she was staying. There were guest rooms at various locations in the palace, in small clusters, of varying opulence or status.

Which did mean they had some stairs to descend, but eventually they were in the royal wing, two Einherjar standing guard at the entrance to the wing. Taking no mind of them, Loki lead the way down the hall, before moving to open one great bronze door. It was a double door, but only one was needed for them both.

Within would almost qualify as an apartment of his own. The main room was clearly a sitting and meeting room, a fireplace set against one wall. 3 doorways lead from it to other rooms. Along one wall entirely were bookshelves, and a writing desk. A great table with stools around it, as well as comfy couches and chairs in a little indentation in the center. Shades of green and Autumn and Wintry colors were prominent.

The walk isn't too long, and she thinks her own room is relatively close, at least if her memory serves.

The guards are intimidating, but obviously being with Loki gives her access to anywhere he wishes to take her.

Once inside her eyes sweep over the room and she smiles. It is a lot of what she expected.

"And I thought I had a lot of bookcases."

"I have more still in my workroom." Loki said, leaving the door open for now. Another bell pull by it, which he used, and then within a few moments Ylfa was curtseying in the doorway. "Your Highness?"

"We'll be taking dinner up here Ylfa."

"Understood Your Highness." Her eyes flicked to Christine, then back to Loki. "Should I...fetch anything from Milady's rooms?" Loki raised an eyebrow, amused, and turned his attention to Christine. "Want to keep the guest room?"

The bell pulls work so quickly, Ylfa is there in a moment it seems.

Christine looks at Loki with a raised brow of her own.

"Are you suggesting I won't be needing a room?" She wonders if it is odd to hear someone talking to Loki like this, or if it's at least a rarity.

"I am leaving that decision up to you." Loki replied with a smile that gave away nothing. "There is more than room enough here and the couches are quite comfortable."

"I'll accept that somewhat gracious invitation then."

It feels oddly more intimate to imagine sharing a bed for sleeping than for sex.

"If you could bring my things here, please, Ylfa."

"Of course Milady. Your Highness." Ylfa bobbed another curtsey, before heading off on her errands.

Loki moved over to where Christine was, and reached to take her hand, lacing their fingers. "So?"

Christine steps into his space when they are alone again. At this point it's as much gravity as anything.

"You going to show me the rest of your rooms?"

"Maybe I like leaving you guessing and imagining, hmm?" Loki teased gently, one hand coming up to brush her face affectionately. Something else Christine might realize later--much like with Loki himself, she couldn't sense any magic within his rooms.

"Work room or bathing room first, Christine?"

"You're always surprising, don't worry about that." Her head turns to kiss his fingers as they brush her cheek.

"Workroom first." It seems more interesting than a bathroom, though she can bet he has an enormous tub.

Work room it was then, as he lead her to one of the more normal single doors. This time simple wood with gilt etchings in it of various flora and fauna. Inside was almost as large as the main sitting room, with more bookshelves along one and a half walls (and more than just books on them). It was windowless, with no fireplace, but lit by a central chandelier and some wall-candle-lamps. A long sturdy table made up the other wall next to a bookcase, with a comfy chair tucked in. It might surprise her to find Loki had a modern laptop with a mobile charger ready and waiting for him to use. There were also stacks of papers and writing tools. Against one wall was a large tapestry depicting the nine-realms and Yggsdrasil, with the realms nestled in its branches; a map. Besides books, there were a few other esoteric items on the shelves--mostly bowls or some closed pitchers. Along the last wall there was also a large wooden storage trunk, and an apothecary's cabinet.

The room is as elegant and beautiful as she was expecting.

"The laptop is a surprise, actually. What do you keep as your background? Is it a photo of yourself?"

"You know, I think I'll keep it a secret." With a wry grin. "It's likely we'll do at least some of your magical lessoning in here."

"And I'll figure out how to sneak a photo of myself as your background." She laughs.

Christine moves into the room to touch a few of the books.

What writing there was, was in runes mostly. But she'll find a modern history of Midgard or three among them as well. Some books were entirely blank, as well. Much like himself, none of the books reacted as 'magical' to Christine's new senses.

Loki simply let her look, hands going behind his back and at rest.

She seems content to just browse a moment before she returns to him.

"I like it. I'd want a window, personally, but it's really nice in here."

"The lack of window helps contain any mishaps that might occur. This is also one of the most heavily shielded rooms in the Palace." He'd made it so himself, which was probably why she wasn't picking up any magic.

[drpalmer]

"That makes sense. It'll be the best place to contain me when I try to control mine."

She trusts him as a teacher.

"It feels like nothing. I know this room must be absolutely full of magic, but I don't feel any of it. Your shields are really good."

"I've worked hard for them to be so." Loki replied, simply stating it as fact. "There are better workrooms as well, and a few more heavily shielded, but I am most comfortable in this one." Reaching for her hand, thumb brushing the skin. "And since I'm to be your primary teacher for now..."

"I trust you." She takes his hand to follow him to whatever room he decides to lead her to.

She knows he is going to do everything he can to train her. While she knows he would kill her if he had to, she's confident it would be an absolute last resort; even for Loki.

It was strange how she could have so much trust in him. He was well known for treachery after all. He had changed--grown in good ways. But it was only recent--the weight of older sins and flaws still bearing down hard.

The room opposite the work room turned out to be the bathing room. It wasn't dissimilar to her own, save the tub was in the center of the room, raised up along the sides then indented into the floor. A long oblong perfect to stretch out in, there were built in seats along shorter side as well. Where hers had brown accents, his had green. Again there was likewise a luxurious shower with glass doors, and that built in seating. Small jars and toiletries could be seen along a shelf within, as well as more along the lip of the tub or at the main counter. In here there was a large latticed window along one wall, with a heavy curtain that could be closed if needed. The view from it showed some of the palace grounds.

Christine is the trusting type, and despite his reputation she sees something genuine in the way he is around her.

She will let go of him to go to one of the little jars to open it and give it a sniff. The corners of her lips turn up, it's the familar smell of his hair, just in it's stronger form.

Wintry and hints of bitter-sweet.

"Inspecting my toiletries?" Loki teased with a smile.
