"I'm glad. I am...used to being lonely, but it is far more unpleasant now." Kissing her hair, just gonna hold her a bit tighter too. Wrapping himself around her, his mind around hers as well. Holding that moment.
"We should get to work though." Reluctant, but necessary. "We're going to start, by having you vanish it. You'll want to pick a place it should go to, since you'll need to picture it solidly in your mind." "
"Then that's perfect." If she was already thinking of that place as where it belonged, it would be easier. "So now, what you want to do, is visualize it in your mind. Make it as clear and strong a picture as you can."
Holding out a hand, he manifested one of his daggers. "Now, holding your dagger, you want to imagine that drawer. Imagine your dagger being in that drawer--vanishing from your hand, and reappearing in its home." Loki let his dagger vanish in a shimmer of green-gold, to reappear on the coffee table.
"Very good. Now do it again." Much like the other times he'd trained her, Loki was thorough. He wasn't going to let them move on until she could do this as fast as he could.
"Good." Loki praised from where he watched her. "There isn't as much 'surprise' here, since it'll be obvious you already have a dagger--but better to get rid of any evidence swiftly, hmm?" Loki had left his own dagger on the table too.
"To call it to you is much the same, but in reverse. You want to visualize it clearly, then focus your will on the dagger appearing in your hand." Holding his own empty hand out, he showed her as his dagger manifested in a shimmer of green-gold.
"Am I learning to get away with murder?" She laughs.
Summoning it to her happens much quicker, she visualizes the dagger, and can feel its weight in her hand before it materializes there with a shimmer of magic.
Loki's laugh is much lower, but also amused. "You have a ways to go before that, my dear." But the speed earns her some clapping and a proud smile. "Vanish it and re-summon it. Once you've practiced that, we'll work on some drills." Both drills with her summoning it, and counter-guard drills.
More soft laughter, and a smile on his face. "I don't recommend you try flipping your own dagger yet. You need to learn how to wield it properly still." But he'll have fun teaching her. "Now, I seem to recall you started learning some unarmed counters? We're going to be doing a variation on them, but with you summoning your dagger each time so it's a surprise." One brow rose and Loki's grin was wry. "Please try to not actually stab me. Much as I like being under your care, I was warned against bleeding on your couch."
"Accidents can happen, but please try not to, yes."
Moving closer to her, Loki let his own dagger vanish, and proceeded to show her the first of the counters they'd be working on. Certain she understood, then moving to the next. They weren't all that different than the unarmed ones in some ways. They both ran through the drills slowly, then more quickly, until he was certain she'd gotten them down.
Loki winces, but does not cry out or do more than that slight flinch. It hadn't gone deep, thankfully--if it had, he'd have needed stitches to stop the blood loss again. Nor had it sliced through an artery. "I think it looks worse than it is, although I feel it." Keeping his other hand over it, but letting her see.
He looked surprised when she called her bag to her, before chuckling softly. "You are a quick study, my Sweetling." Affection and pride for her in his voice.
It was proof the dagger was sharp, that the wound was so neat. He didn't seem too concerned, even if it was annoying. "It'll be fine, Christine. It looks worse than it feels, if that helps." Since his hands were occupied, Loki let his mind brush hers comfortingly.
"Would a scar be so bad? Perhaps it's not the most grand of battles, but it was gained fairly." But he won't argue with her. Placing his hand over hers over the gauze. "...I can't say for how long. But as you are mine to care for...." Loki breathed, being certain he wanted to do this. "I am yours to care for."
"Maybe what I need is someone to help put me back together, rather than defend me?" That she would feel guilty is the main reason he's not objecting. It's important to her, so it's important to him.
"Just don't let this scare you off of our training. You need it."
"When we get to more advanced stuff, I will. We'll have to see about getting you some as well, since I doubt you'll stay on the sidelines of battles." Likely Sif and Brunhilde had already thought of that, given what they'd worked on training with her for already.
"Not now that I have special brain powers." She teases. It's easier to make a little joke than to imagine actually going into one of those big superhero battles.
Moving his hand, he cupped her chin and made her look up at him. "Christine," Certain he had her attention. "You were special before those powers manifested. They're not why your soul shines. You helped a stranger whom you thought would die, for no reason other than because you are kind. You were still kind, even when finding out who he was. That is what makes you special."

"Can I use the drawer I've been keeping it in? I already sort of identify that as it's home."
realized I wrote the wrong thing--appearing vs. disappearing

It takes her a few long minutes of focusing, and visualizing before the dagger fades from view and her hand is empty again.

She keeps at it until the dagger is gone in a blink.

She sends the dagger away and then summons it back with a bit of a flourish.
"I see why you do the little flip thing, feels dramatic."

She would be beside herself if she actually hurt him. Though at least she is qualified to care for him.

The dagger disappears immediately as she tries to see how much damage she's done.
"Shit! I'm so sorry"

She carefully looks at his arm, the wound is neat, and not overly deep.
"I can probably glue that once we stop the bleeding."

"Glue is easy, just to make sure you don't scar." She pulls out a bit of gauze to apply pressure to it.
"It's my job to take care of you as well, and this is something I can actually do."
