"I will warn you, healing without aids--but focusing on raw energy, will take raw power too. The same for shielding--these things work best with a focus, as there's less drain on the caster." A squeeze of her hand. "But I've already emailed Ingrid. She plans to seek out any healers who used magic as well as the more 'mundane' so to speak. We're also having to adapt to not having the resources we used to, which will likely lead to new innovations."
"I believe you already helped them out a lot, and provided a good foundation. We've a partnership now where many are working with doctors across Norway as is feasible. There is still some pushback and a few barriers to the effect of 'are we for real?' so to speak. But you helped, and I'm sure Ingrid would welcome your help again."
New Asgard's status was...iffy. They couldn't be a proper self-sufficient nation, so to speak. But they were recognized to have their own sovereignty in some matters by the Norwegian Crown. Officially, they were part of Norway for the foreseeable future. It was actually causing some strife among the Scandinavian nations; part of Loki's 'work' had been keeping an eye on the more troubling factions starting to emerge.
That makes him laugh, and brings a smile. "'real' in the sense here in that we both are and are not like Gods. It's stirred up quite a few religious debates and theological quandaries."
"Which is exactly part of the problem." Especially since 'Gods' didn't need help, but the people of New Asgard clearly did. "It's been exciting lurking on certain parts of the internet, let me tell you." A bit dryly sarcastic there.
Loki chuckled. "I've not met any giantesses that I know of either, and have no children as of yet." Taking another drink of wine before he continued. "Honestly I seem to be sort of a catch-all for all kinds of weird misadventures. I will confirm that I know Idunn, who does indeed have absolutely delicious golden apples. But she moved to Vanaheim a few centuries back, so I don't know if she's taken her crop there or simply moved on to something else."
"Father. In that myth I'm the father. It's with the horse, I'm the mother, Sweetling." Loki corrected with amusement. "And I am glad you're feeling better. Even if it's not the night we had planned, it has been an interesting one."
"I would've been surprised if it was, on Midgard. There are races and beings in the wider universe that use it regularly though. I would definitely make sure you have strong shields before we go to space."

"If anything it's very exciting to have the potential to help more people."

Christine is happy to hear that Ingrid is helping out.
"If they need Midgardian supplies, I can help and also teach them to use them."

She's been checking Norwegian news with some regularly to see how New Asgard is doing.
"I've never asked, are you, in fact, real?"

She reaches to take his hand for a moment to give it a little squeeze.
"Did you google me?"
Christine has published papers, some with Stephen, and there are a few photos of the two at events.

She smiles at that little kiss, the fondness flowing that always seems to accompany being with him.
"So telepathic communicate isn't common, apparently."

I think I'm going to get a talk about strengthening my shields from Stephen as well.
