She nods.

"I can wait, we've been flirting around it for long enough now."

Another few days won't make much difference.

"We've been doing a lot of flirting, haven't we?" Loki teased, with one more kiss against her palm. "Would you like the fire on, or off?"

[drpalmer]

"Just a bit." Christine nods and chuckles.

"I think a low fire would be nice." It will keep the chill at bay without being too warm.

"Get yourself settled." Loki murmured, though it wasn't an order this time. One more squeeze of their joined hands, and he let hers go. Striding over to the fireplace, and a small tossing motion of his hand with some magic brought flames to the logs within.

"Anything else, before I settle in to keep you company?"

She's not totally undressing, just removing the flowing trousers and keeping on the long tunic.

"Not since I can't convince you to cuddle."

"Soon, Christine." Loki promised, both admiring the bared skin and also not looking at her in a rude way. Striding back to the arm chair and bookcase, before moving to select one of the titles. "You'll have to settle for me reading to you."

It's not any more skin than she's shown in some of the dresses she's worn to dinner, but the glance feels a bit different.

"You're going to read to me?" That sounds like a very calming idea, she likes the sound of his voice.

She moves to climb into the bed, wrapping herself in a few blankets.

"I am. It's not being wrapped up in blankets with you, but it'll have to do." With a teasing wink. "This is a collection of stories Mother used to tell us when we were young."
