Well now she's debating if she should visit the sanctum to try to learn to make a door herself.
"You mean at all?" But the way she touches him says that she can't stay mad for more than a moment. "I'm ok. Knicked my shirt with the equipment it threw."
There's a small tear in her sleeve and a faint scratch on her skin, but all very minor considering what she was up against.
"At all. Yes." With an actual apologetic and soft smile. Bringing their joined hands over to kiss her palm.
"We probably don't have long until Thor arrives. And we were in the midst of delicate negotiations." Tilting his head slightly, that smile remains. "Would you like to see New Asgard? Be settled for a while until I can join you once more?"
It's not allowed to be a light kiss. There's very much enjoyment at her touch in his kiss back. Clear pleasure in her presence, hints of heat and relief mingled.
"Walk with me." He says, taking her arm like he had before. The village was old--the oldest in Norway. It was clear there was a new sudden influx of people, as they got closer. There was also a giant ark-sized spaceship parked near the coastline.
"I'm rather glad the Norwegian government hasn't seen our arrival as an act of invasion. It truly is not, even though we seem to have taken over the town that was here." They're making a decent pace, and as they get into more populated areas--there is clear curiosity in the people. Some wariness, because it's Loki--and escorting a stranger?
She's also very clearly not dressed for the environment. The general mood is one of wary-friendliness between the native Norwegians and the Asgardians (and accompanying aliens). From conversation, she can guess that the big difference besides linguistical shifts between the two languages is accent. It's not long after they arrive in the town proper, before they're joined by another tall Asgardian. Golden armor gleaming, sword sheathed at his back, Heimdall falls into step beside them.
"I'm assuming you saw that?" Loki asks dryly. Heimdall offers a small smile. "Be glad more people didn't." The all-seeing and all-hearing God replied just as dryly. "My Lady, I hope you're prepared for your life to become far more interesting than it was." Addressed with a little bow towards Christine.
"And after we left?" Loki asked.
"I smoothed things over with the dignitaries. For now. They are concerned, as am I, that you have the Tesseract." Heimdall said, still as calmly voiced as before. "We do not have the means to properly keep it safe, Loki."
"I'm aware." It's said with a sigh. "It wouldn't be very diplomatic to alter their memories, would it?" More dry humor, and it got a soft laugh out of Heimdall. Before the other God turned his attention once more to Christine. "My apologies for seeming to ignore you, my Lady. But it was already a complex and delicate affair before the sudden exit of our King and his brother."
"The economy of the area will likely be boosted by all the new people." Especially if they are hardworking.
Once they get close she starts seeing the looks. Heads turn to get a glimpse of Loki.
They are joined by a giant of a man in gold. It only now dawns on her what a big decision it was to come with him. Besides Stephen knowing Loki is here, all of New Asgard seems to have come out to see them as well. It's a little intimidating.
"I seem to be a bit of a spectacle at the moment." As they are being watched by what seems to be the whole town.
"My appologies for that. I didn't expect quite as much drama as I got today." But if the god had seen everything, he would know her call for help was justified.
The Asgardians were like most people--some weren't as willing to work hard, but most were. Good and not so good, with different interests... A very long lived and not human people, who had been through a terrible ordeal and were trying to make their home anew. The staring and head turning was likely just as much as the fact that Loki was obviously escorting someone in a way that indicated familiarity, as it was because he was openly out and about. There was less wariness from the Asgardians--they knew he'd fought for them, essentially saved their lives--than from the natives. But none of the looks held hostility.
"What's one more stranger, added to a group of them?" Heimdall replied, amused by her good humor. "Loki obviously has you under his care. I would expect more drama to come." Loki made a soft scoffing noise of amusement, and shot the other a look, but there was no malice in it.
In truth, Heimdall hadn't been aware of her existence, or importance to the God of Mischief, either. Not until he and Thor had vanished. But he'd seen many things, and heard many things. "Welcome to New Asgard, my Lady. I am Heimdall, guardian of our borders and council to our King."
She has a drive to be stronger, so she needs a bit less protection. Especially if more threats are going to come her way. Which they might if it's thought that she is somehow important to Loki.
"The all-seeing Heimdall, it's truly a pleasure to meet you." She's heard of him, the guardian of the bridge.
She gives Loki's arm the tiniest squeeze, a little hint of affection just for him.
They will, especially if she's seen as somehow important to Loki. That was one of the tricky things about dealing in magic. Once the door was open, it was hard to shut--and once you became aware of other things, they could also become aware of you.
"You have me at a disadvantage." Heimdall said with a smile. "I know only two names for you, and one of them I am sure would earn me a knife in my back." That last said with an amused look at the God of Mischief. Heimdall hadn't missed the tiny gesture of affection either.
"Whether in the back or the front, he would be certain I won't see it coming. Which is no easy task." Heimdall replied with good humor. "Who has graced our new home with her presence?" Asking for a name, although he'd likely keep addressing her politely. But Thor would want explanations, and Heimdall planned to be there for them as well.
They'd continued walking, and were now on a meandering path towards the giant spaceship. Once Heimdall had joined them, there was both more curiosity, but more covertness about it. Christine was quite the buzz apparently.
"Doctor Christine Palmer." Loki said, although he kept his tone neutral. That he'd insisted on it at all was telling and he knew it. But he could find no good reason she shouldn't have the honor of her proper title.
"A pleasure, Doctor Palmer." Heimdall replied with a nod before pausing. Then giving a little nod to himself. "I'll buy you some time, but I hope you and that silver tongue are prepared, Trickster. You might have to actually be honest about all of this." It wasn't said unkindly--it was Heimdall's way of offering advice. And a hint that he approved.
"Damn." Loki just said quietly if firmly, reading between the lines easily. That meant Thor was on his way. Immediately he just....vanished from perception. Christine hadn't felt the spell drop--although she would a moment later when her perception of him reappeared with the same spell washing over her. If Heimdall noticed he said nothing, merely nodded to where they had been and stopped to wait for his King.
Loki kept walking, albeit at a slightly quicker pace.
"Don't be." Loki said softly, reaching over to give her hand a squeeze where it rested against his arm. A half-grin came to him and blue-green eyes shifted her way. "Or do. I am so terribly inconvenienced. However will you make it up to me?" Teasing her, although he also would not mind.
There is a long suffering sigh, but its clear in his eyes he's amused. "How long did you want to stay?" His mind was already turning with various possibilities and plans. Had been for the duration of their walk. She essentially had nothing but whatever was on her person while at work.
"It won't. I don't use all that much of my vacation time."
She glances at him, a bit amused.
"Well, it looks like all of New Asgard already knows." She presses a tiny kiss to his cheek. "I'm not at all ashamed or worried about being seen with you."
"It has been a bit of an open-secret here that I exist and am on planet. In New Asgard at least." Loki replied, warming inside at the kiss. "Am I finding you a room near mine, or are you sharing mine?" He had a suite of rooms--and while it didn't compare to Asgard's palace, it was nice enough for what it was.
They had reached the Statesman, it's landing bridge extended and open. Leading upwards into the interior, it was clear that the ship was an active hub of activity. Not least of which because it was where most of the Asgardian refugees still lived while housing and space was found for them elsewhere. Within, it was well-lit, with people bustling about.
More like an ark of sorts, but the comparison is still apt. It is nice to walk down the halls and not be troubled or noticed. "Maybe I like the idea of clandestine encounters." Loki teased, as they were clearly moving into the nicer area of the ship. Larger cabins or sets of rooms, many resembling large board rooms from an office, or other meeting spaces.

And then he dissappears, which for a moment leaves her eyes a bit wide. Not fair.
