She's doing a very good job, and he loves it.

Considering for a moment, before she'll feel a wash of magic over him. An illusion, but of what he'd look like as a Jotunn. Blue skin, the angles of his face are more pronounced, and with red eyes. "I do not claim it, but my actual last name is Laufeyson. I'm the rightful king of Jotunheim."

The eyes are the most surprising bit, but she doesn't look offended or appalled by him. Instead gentle fingers trace over the angles of blue skin.

"It's a really beautiful shade of blue. Though I will admit the eyes surprised me more than I expected."

"Still, we're the monsters, among others, of children's bedtime stories." There's a sigh, and he'll lean into her touch. "I...did not know I was adopted. Until 6 years ago."

"Children are scared of basically everything they don't understand."

She doesn't see a monster, probably because she knows him.

"That's a very long time for you to not know. I can imagine finding out was a shock."

Another time, I'll tell you.

"Until then, while I'd always felt different, and been different, I had no idea why." He could be a monster, had done monstrous things. But had also started trying to move past it, to atone.

She doesn't delude herself into ignoring the horrible things he's done, but rather honoring the change he's making.

"And then you found out all at once." She kisses his cheek.

"It was not a pleasant experience." Turning his head enough to nuzzle her and kiss her back. By the timeframe, it predated the invasion. Someday, he might tell her more about that, too. Maybe.

Someday she might be bold enough to ask.

Right now though, she floods their link with acceptance, of him in whatever form he takes.

That gets a physical reaction, a shiver and slight tremble through him. It's not unpleasant. "You will most definitely be dangerous, my Sweetling." Praise for her, and moving to seek her mouth out for a kiss.

She chuckles and meets that kiss. She does enjoy having the ability to surprise him, and to let him feel what she's feeling.

He's very much enjoying it so far too. It's rare he can be surprised. Soft kisses, before they turned deeper. Hands moving up to stroke her hair and cheek, hold her steady. Still illusioned to look like a Jotunn proper.

There should be no doubt that she still finds him intoxicating even when he's blue.

She tastes him and nibbles at his lips.

"I hope you're prepared to sleep in, Sweetling. I don't have an early morning again." Spoken against her mouth, returning those kisses. Shifting only slightly to both pull her closer, and lean her back against the pillows.

"I get you longer?" She sounds very excited to be able to have him to herself for a bit longer.

"You do. And my evenings are still yours." His evenings were his own, but he wanted to be with her. Therefore, they were hers for now.

"Mhm," she hums, "mine."

She's going to be laying claim to him all night.

His only verbal response is laughter, pleased and amused chuckles. He'll happily lay claim right back. They have all night, and into the morning. He intends to make the most of it, if she'll join him.
