She doesn't mention her family much but she does obviously love her mom.

"You don't talk about your family much." Loki observed, still stroking her hair and cheek. "And I would understand if you didn't want to." Considering his own family troubles?

[drpalmer]

"My parents are divorced. My dad is wealthy but never spent much time with me, my mom has always been my biggest supporter."

She doesn't mind talking about it, especially since Loki is likely to understand the distant father situation.

He does, leaning forward to kiss her forehead. "Any siblings? And how do you think she'd react to you bringing ME home...?"

"No just me." She rests her forehead to his.

"Her memory isn't great, she probably wouldn't remember the invasion or anything."

"Ah....age related? or illness?" Cupping her face softly and brushing her cheek with his thumb in comfort.

[drpalmer]

"Both, her dementia set in fairly young. I've got her in a really good memory care place."

As a doctor Christine had recognized the symptoms when they started, it at least gave them time to get her mom's wishes in order.

"I...bespelled Odin, to take his place. Sent him to what I thought was a good place here in New York." It seemed important she know, although normally he wouldn't confess to such a thing.

"Was it a good place?"

She runs her thumb along his cheekbone.

"I tried to make it so. Of course, at some point it had been demolished in the 4 years between my visits. At some point Father broke the spell, and had moved to Norway. To Tønsberg, actually." The town that had become New Asgard.

"So he picked this area then?"

She kisses his cheek, then his forehead. She appreciates knowing some of the things he's done.

His eyes closed as he sighed, leaning into the affection. "He did. He...died here. Warned us of Hela's coming, but...we talked. He, Thor, and I."

[drpalmer]

She is happy to provide little bits of affection. It's difficult to talk about loss.

"And now he's a star."

She won't ask what they talked about, that's for Loki to decide if he wants to divulge.

"He and mother both." Leaning forward to nuzzle her cheek, holding her closer. Just taking comfort and happiness in her presence, holding her and being held by her. Several heartbeats, before he'll speak again. "Are we done with dinner? Did you want to do throwing practice, or are we doing something else tonight?"

[drpalmer]

"I think we're done." A little kiss to his lips.

"As much as I want to get started on dagger thowing, I think I'd rather just curl up in bed with you. I've been sleeping alone for months now."

"I have too, and it has been lonely." Assuming she doesn't want to move, it's easy enough for Loki to just pick her up. Making their way back to the bedroom, ready to curl up with each other.

"I'll be here all the time now. I'm warning you." She wraps herself around him as he carries her to the bed.

"Though the time difference will be annoying."
