"I think they're what we were meant to find." Taking a drink of wine. "Thor and I have talked, and we both...it's...like we don't really remember, but that we had a dream. His with the information he needed, mine with information I needed. It's maddeningly frustrating trying to chase the thoughts." It was very like how he shielded himself, really.

"So, I've done some research on the internet. Apparently the blade is likely Laevateinn, which is mentioned in myths as being my ancestral weapon. There is argument over what it might be, but that....feels right."

"I had a dream too. I feel like I remembered it for a moment and then it slipped right out of reach."

It's strange to think all three of them had a similar experince, it must have happened on purpose.

"So you summoned your own mythical fire sword. That's actually very cool."

"I think that's also where your armor came from. 'Bredersnåde' would be the name, though I only found it in the most obscure of sources. It is healer's armor. So long as the healer is defending or healing another, they will not be hurt."

Another drink of wine, and squeeze of their joined hands. "I have no better answers, and if it was all a test, then...well, it would make sense. That is how stories and these kinds of things often function."

"That's why I didn't get impaled." Which is very convenient, and exactly what she needed.

"We make a strong team." Their skills compliment one another very well. "I guess we passed our test."

"I seem to recall the Norns saying something about our threads being entwined by our own actions." His turn to bring her hand over, to kiss her knuckles. "I am...not used to having anyone I can depend on." As she well knew, having seen the hints and reasons WHY he had trust issues.

"We have entwined ourselves." And she is happy to have done so.

"I have some times where I struggle with trust myself. I'm always here for you." She is open and obvious with her affections.

She's been asked about her association with Loki, as so many don't trust him; and she speaks of how helpful he had been in gathering what they needed for the battle.

He had actually fared better in Wakanda than a few. Still known for his actions previously, and while they would not be forgotten... The stories of Anansi the spider, story-teller and trickster god, were also revered and well-known. The people prized cleverness and cunning as well as brute strength, so Loki was given some measure of respect as well.

It was still a new experience for him, much like when they'd first come to Midgard. In some ways, it was only his overdue rewards. Never appreciated as much among his own people, here were people who saw his worth.

"I've most certainly let you closer than anyone else has ever been." Another kiss to her knuckles.

"You've pulled me into your shield. I know the huge amount of trust that takes."

When he has done so she is given raw, unfiltered emotion that he isn't able to pick to send to her.

"You've....proven worth it." One more kiss to her knuckles before letting her have her hand back.

She eats a bit, a content little look on her face.

"So, what do we do now?"

She's been wondering that. Debating where she wants her life to take her.

"Well, that depends on you, Sweetling. What do you want to do?" Loki said softly, reaching out to brush her cheek. "...I am...yours. For your life."

She really does like the sound of that.

"I better live a long time then." There's a little mischief in her smile.

"Should we live together?"

[whose_son_am_i]

Loki just smiled, and moved to brush her hair back. "I'm not sure where I'll live, honestly. It's likely safer if we live apart, but thanks to your being able to portal now that's hardly an issue."

[drpalmer]

"The time difference is still an issue."

She leans into his touch.

"So now we're worried about danger?"

"I'm always worried about potential danger, Christine." But it's said gently. "...I would not mind us looking for a place together."

[drpalmer]

"I did just watch you seperate creatures from their heads. I'm sure we will find more dangers in the future, but lets pretend were safe for a little bit."

She is sure there will be more fights ahead.

"Really?" She lights up, eager and happy.

"Backstabbing seemed a little cliché, which is why I only did it once." He teased, brushing his thumb against her cheek. "You have allies and friends who are powerful. I worry less about you, though I do still worry."

Then he nodded, always pleased to make her light up in joy. "Assuming you can live with my being in hiding as well."

She's sure a call for help from her now would be answered by at least a sorcerer and two gods.

"I was so satisfied to see you kill that needle throwing bastard." She feels a hint guilty about it, but they did try to murder her.

"I've been dating this Eric Nordson guy behind your back, he's pretty okay."

"I was rather satisfied to kill him." Blue-green eyes gleamed, before he was chuckling with her next statement. "He has good taste then, as do you." With a wink. "Where would you like to live?"

"Do you have a favorite city? We probably should avoid New York, they like you the least."

As much as she loves New York, she's ready for a change.

"I don't, yet. Or rather, my favorite is where you are."

[drpalmer]

"London needs to have their Sanctum rebuilt. We could maintain it."

The remnants of the building have already been used to start constructing another.

"It would offer us permanent portals between London and New York, and we could set one for New Asgard as well."

That brought a low chuckle, and a slow blink. "Do you think your Sorcerer Supreme would approve of me helping care for a Sanctum?" It wasn't a no though.

[drpalmer]

"He watched a bunch of battle outcomes, all of them included you either saving me or dying tying to save me."

That seemed to help Stephen's opinion of Loki.

Loki blinked, somewhat surprised. Before laughing. "I suppose that would be what happened. I'm glad it did not come to that." He seemed thoughtful--pondering the changes he'd been going through.
