Quiet for several heartbeats, before he speaks again. "I'll try to make it necessary, not expedient. For you." Which wasn't a promise that he wouldn't kill, but that he'd try and only do it if it became necessary.

"I've been tracking some of these individuals for a few months now, as well as the rise of these groups." Moving to lead her over to his work area. She can see now various pins and strings on the bulletin board, with notes and photos. "I suspected something like this was building, and so while we're not happy at being under a lockdown, we're prepared. Provided no one from our side starts the violence, we'll come out of this in a good position in the eyes of the world."

"If you pick someone that kills puppies or kicks children I'll turn a blind eye."

She wants to know his violence, she feels like she needs to in order to really understand him.

"Ah, that's why I haven't seen you." She moves to look at the board, following his information.

It wasn't even that he enjoyed hurting people, so much as that they were in the way of his goals.

"It is. Remember what I said about potentially needing some applied chaos? I've been watching this unfold." Arm moving around her waist, and hugging her softly. "But we can discuss it in the morning. I have the pleasure of your unexpected company, and we have dinner to eat."

At least his goals seemed to be more for the good of his people and not just him alone.

She leans into him.

"I'm not letting you stay away this long again. Not when I can get here in an instant."

He held her tighter, turning his head to kiss her hair. "I am very impressed. And won't mind if you startle the maids regularly." Heading back towards the table, where he held out her chair. "Go ahead and start, I'll get out of my armor." Unless she wanted to help?

It's her turn to cast a warming spell over the food. A wave of glittering magic coming over the table.

"I'm not missing a chance to undress you."

That brought an amused and affectionate smile and he hugged her against his side. So to the bedroom it was. Really the light armor looked more complicated and complex than it was. Padded over-jacket/vest--since it wasn't meant to be actual combat he'd forgone the gloves and only wore plain leather boots. Then an inner coat of leather-and-mail, along with bracers at his fore-arms and biceps. It looked far more complex than it was.

She helps him out of the jacket before putting it on herself and going to look in the mirror.

"Do I make a good warrior?" It's far too long and broad for her, but it doesn't look bad.

Loki grinned while chuckling. "Not in my gear you don't..." Moving to take her hand, and lead her to where they could see each other in the bathroom mirror, he stood behind her once more. "Not to mention Sif or Brunhilde will be the first to tell you about the perils of poor fitting armor." Arms moving around her waist to hold her from behind, Loki let his head rest on her shoulder. "Something more like this would suit you." There's a shimmer of greenish-gold, and her outfit seemed to change.

"Actually, I wouldn't be surprised to find the former two have thought about what might work for you. I imagine the argument is do you want something more classical, or more modern."

She watches the magic wash over her and she looks at her reflection.

"I look very tough. It's misleading." She laughs. She rests her arms on top of his.

"I need something in the middle of armor and the tunics favored at the sactum. A little more protection than just the linen but more movement." She's put a bit of thought into it herself.

"Something for you to talk with them about, then. They'll be happy to help." A kiss pressed to her cheek, before he let the illusion go. "I'm certain you'll find something, Christine."

"The outfit isn't my biggest concern."

She steps away enough to slip off his jacket.

"I'd rather borrow the helmet if I'm trying on your clothes." She teases.

That brings a definite smile and laugh. "I will say I do like the idea of you in my clothes." Another kiss on her cheek, before he's moving to one hand to his wrist. To start undoing bracer belts and buckles. "Besides, you're the one who said it'd look heavy."

"That's true, I'd probably need more dainty horns." She laughs.

She watches him undo his bracers, she still is intrigued by the layers that go into his armor.

He's practiced at it enough, at least with the light armor. He'd needed aid, for the more elaborate set on Asgard. Bracers slipped off, and it was clear the under coat was a combination of light mail-and-leather, fastened to one side. It was the last layer though, and left him in a green high-collared shirt and deeper green canvas slacks, tucked into his boots. It took remarkably less time to remove than to put on, and he was gathering up the pieces to properly store them away.

"Wearing the horns you might be mistaken for me. You did ask me not to shape-shift into you, however."

"I'm more likely to be stabbed if I'm confused for you."

Given how they met it's an apt joke.

"I'm just curious how they'd look. I'm not going to steal your horns."

She follows him as he puts away his armor. Once everything is in it's place she closes the space between them to kiss him.

His hands come up to cup her cheek while they kiss. She'll feel a wash of magic again, and a sensation as if something were on her head. It's not real--she KNOWS it's not real, but the illusion is very good. Holding the kiss for a moment more, before Loki pulled back and smiled. "Go take a look, Sweetling."

Personally, he preferred the tiara he'd made her on her first visit, or something similar. But what she seemed to wear now was closer to his own horned crown and helmet.

She has grown quite familar with the feel of his illusions. When the kiss breaks she does go to the mirror where she grins.

"Ok, I see why you like these, they look really cool. Probably not my style, but I look neat." To get a real feel for the look she summons her dagger to her.

She can hear him chuckling, and a moment later he peeks in. "The outfit is all wrong, but you're getting closer." Fortunately he was quite amused by the idea of her trying to dress up like him. "I think the tiara you already have works best for you, however."

"It's not a battle tiara." She laughs and sends the dagger back to its home with ease.

"But I do like it, it sits on my dresser next to my jewlery box."

"That is a good point. I have used my own as a weapon before, when it was convenient." There's a wry grin. "And not to headbutt people either, before you ask." Stepping up to join her at the mirror, her hand is taken and brought up to his mouth. "The horns are not actually necessarily unique to me. Odin's own helmet had a different design, but had them. And the design was echoed in the Einherjar as well." Dismissing the illusion on her as he spoke. "I'll show you sometime."

"Nope, I'm going to imagine you charging people like a bull because it's funny."

It's a beautiful mental picture.

"Do you have a cape too? Everyone has a cape and I'm feeling very left out." She rests her free hand on his side.

"Sometimes." With an indulgent smile. "Would you like to see what the full armor was like?"

"Yes, absolutely." There is a genuine sort of playfulness between them.

He didn't let go of her hand, but did step back a few steps. Almost like he was formally escorting her, as the illusion washed over him. Full ceremonial armor, all gleaming gold, complete with a cape.
