"I do wonder about you sometimes, Sweetling." Teasing, with a fond smile. "You occasionally show a bloodthirsty side." But I would worry if you didn't have layers.
"You don't talk about your family much." Loki observed, still stroking her hair and cheek. "And I would understand if you didn't want to." Considering his own family troubles?
"I...bespelled Odin, to take his place. Sent him to what I thought was a good place here in New York." It seemed important she know, although normally he wouldn't confess to such a thing.
"I tried to make it so. Of course, at some point it had been demolished in the 4 years between my visits. At some point Father broke the spell, and had moved to Norway. To Tønsberg, actually." The town that had become New Asgard.
"He and mother both." Leaning forward to nuzzle her cheek, holding her closer. Just taking comfort and happiness in her presence, holding her and being held by her. Several heartbeats, before he'll speak again. "Are we done with dinner? Did you want to do throwing practice, or are we doing something else tonight?"
"I have too, and it has been lonely." Assuming she doesn't want to move, it's easy enough for Loki to just pick her up. Making their way back to the bedroom, ready to curl up with each other.
