"You've been busy." He tried not to sound pouty--he failed. Casual clothes once again, in a style that would've blended in well in Wakanda--were he not so pale. But she's being held tightly with no indication of being let go anytime soon.

"I wish I was a bit less in demand at the moment." She has no plans on letting go of him either.

"I've missed you. And sleeping, and sleeping next to you."

"Be proud of me. As much as I'd love to demand your time, I do recognize healing is your first love." Which is why he'd been nearby, but hadn't interrupted. "I've missed you too. Now what do you need first. Food, a soak, or sleep?"

"I've been very proud of you for quite some time now." She pulls back enough to cup his face, running her thumbs along his cheeks.

"Probably food. And to not stop touching you for several days."

"That latter might have to wait, but I've no plans to go anywhere right now." Reaching up to cup her hands where she held his face. "I brought dinner back, and cast a spell on it. I hope you have been managing to find time to eat though?"

"I've been eating," she nods, "I just haven't gotten to sit down for a meal."

She's used to eating on her feet, it's pretty typical at work to eat whenever you're able.

"Well you're definitely sitting down for this. You need to rest and relax." No arguing with him, even if she were so inclined. Loki had spoken, and so it would be.

Rice dishes and leafy greens with tubers and roast lamb, lots of fruit, all with spicy or nutty flavors. Rich and aromatic and a variety. Water or spiced teas were the drink offerings, although a small bottle of wine made from local fruits sat unopened.

"Is that an order, your Highness?" It's very teasing, flirtatous even.

She isn't planning on arguing, the food smells wonderful and she feels her stomach growl at the scent.

They've not even had a chance to really talk about the battle or the trolls.

"If it must be, then yes." He's smiling though at the teasing and flirting. Leaning in to kiss her cheek before taking his own seat. "I haven't discussed it with Thor yet. How long are you planning to stay here?"

[drpalmer]

"I think one more day and then I should be able to go home."

She stretches in her chair before she dishes out some food.

"So much has happened and I feel like I haven't gotten to talk to you at all."

"Fortunately, we're not dependent on Thor for transport. Although I'm also sure the Wakandans, or an ally, would help us get back either to New York or New Asgard." Loki was opening the wine, moving to pour for them both. "I have most definitely missed our conversations."

"Have your ribs healed alright?" She's not even gotten to check on how her healing had done.

Her question had him laughing softly, and reaching for her hand with a soft smile. "I'm fine, Sweetling. Your healing is quite skillful."

She smiles. "Good. I haven't had time to check."

She takes his hand and kisses his knuckles.

"Any explanation for the flaming sword? Or my armor for that matter?

"I think they're what we were meant to find." Taking a drink of wine. "Thor and I have talked, and we both...it's...like we don't really remember, but that we had a dream. His with the information he needed, mine with information I needed. It's maddeningly frustrating trying to chase the thoughts." It was very like how he shielded himself, really.

"So, I've done some research on the internet. Apparently the blade is likely Laevateinn, which is mentioned in myths as being my ancestral weapon. There is argument over what it might be, but that....feels right."

"I had a dream too. I feel like I remembered it for a moment and then it slipped right out of reach."

It's strange to think all three of them had a similar experince, it must have happened on purpose.

"So you summoned your own mythical fire sword. That's actually very cool."

"I think that's also where your armor came from. 'Bredersnåde' would be the name, though I only found it in the most obscure of sources. It is healer's armor. So long as the healer is defending or healing another, they will not be hurt."

Another drink of wine, and squeeze of their joined hands. "I have no better answers, and if it was all a test, then...well, it would make sense. That is how stories and these kinds of things often function."

"That's why I didn't get impaled." Which is very convenient, and exactly what she needed.

"We make a strong team." Their skills compliment one another very well. "I guess we passed our test."

"I seem to recall the Norns saying something about our threads being entwined by our own actions." His turn to bring her hand over, to kiss her knuckles. "I am...not used to having anyone I can depend on." As she well knew, having seen the hints and reasons WHY he had trust issues.

[drpalmer]

"We have entwined ourselves." And she is happy to have done so.

"I have some times where I struggle with trust myself. I'm always here for you." She is open and obvious with her affections.

She's been asked about her association with Loki, as so many don't trust him; and she speaks of how helpful he had been in gathering what they needed for the battle.

He had actually fared better in Wakanda than a few. Still known for his actions previously, and while they would not be forgotten... The stories of Anansi the spider, story-teller and trickster god, were also revered and well-known. The people prized cleverness and cunning as well as brute strength, so Loki was given some measure of respect as well.

It was still a new experience for him, much like when they'd first come to Midgard. In some ways, it was only his overdue rewards. Never appreciated as much among his own people, here were people who saw his worth.

"I've most certainly let you closer than anyone else has ever been." Another kiss to her knuckles.

"You've pulled me into your shield. I know the huge amount of trust that takes."

When he has done so she is given raw, unfiltered emotion that he isn't able to pick to send to her.

"You've....proven worth it." One more kiss to her knuckles before letting her have her hand back.

She eats a bit, a content little look on her face.

"So, what do we do now?"

She's been wondering that. Debating where she wants her life to take her.

"Well, that depends on you, Sweetling. What do you want to do?" Loki said softly, reaching out to brush her cheek. "...I am...yours. For your life."
