She really needed Stephen to teach her some of his time manipulation, she's just the same as Strange in that sense, wanting to use it to give her more hours to study.

Christine nods, "how long did it take you to learn?"

Given how old he is, he could have spent decades on a spell.

She can see him thinking. "At least two of your decades. I think. I was learning many things at once. It was difficult to get the trick of it right away, as it was easier to conjure it from somewhere else, rather than what I do now. Which is seemingly of thin-air." With a hint of smirk. "I figured your bracelet would work best to conjure it from somewhere else." Nor was he that inclined to explain how he didn't conjure from 'thin air' per se.

"I don't believe that your dagger doesn't go somewhere. Unless you use a seperate dimension to store things."

So yes, she has been learning quite a lot. Though his magic is truly impressive it must have some of the same rules hers does.

"Think of it as a challenge for you to find out." All impish grin and pleased blue-green eyes. Looking around the living room, he also chuckled softly. "I may have to get you a training dummy or target for the future too. That is, if you want to throw it."

The way her grin spreads is almost as mischievous as his own.

"I very much want to throw it."

Throwing a lethal looking dagger with accuracy sounds like both a useful and sexy skill.

"Then there's your goal. The sooner you get one, the sooner I'll teach you to do so. Unless you mind us making a few holes in one of your walls." He did like that grin and wanted to encourage it.

"While I do own the place, I would prefer to keep my walls intact." It would be a hassle to get them repaired.

"They wouldn't be very large holes, if that helps." Loki says with a chuckle. "You might end up with a few anyways simply while learning how to aim. But that can be a future project." She still needed to learn how to properly conjure her own dagger, and to practice wielding it further.

"My intention is for you to have this as a surprise weapon, Sweetling. You're best option is to not need to fight. But if you do, I know you'll use your brain and intelligence. Sif already clearly has no idea I'd given you a knife, and I think it's wise for no one to suspect you have two until you need them to."

"I've been warned about the ethical considerations for my Empathy. But that I could probably calm down and confuse an attacker."

She was warned that manipulating peoples emotions is morally questionable. But that if she was strong enough she could calm a whole crowd.

"Summoning the dagger does make it very surprising."

"I figured better your Sorcerer give you the 'ethics' talk. Is he aware that you also show some ability at mind-reading? Or at least telepathic capabilities?" Loki wondered, if Strange did, if he also would be getting a lecture, at the very least.

"I haven't mentioned it. Since I can only communicate with you."

And she didn't really want to discuss how they figured that bit out.

"I would....carefully bring it up. Only because it is closely tied to you Empathy. It's part of the broader skills that fall under 'being psychic' from a Human's definition from what I've learned. I'm not too concerned though."

Moving to take her hand, twining their fingers. "And I'm selfishly glad you only do so with me."

She brings his hand to her lips with a little smile.

"It's been a nice little surprise to have you with me on so many levels."

"I think I mentioned before, I've never had it happen with anyone else. Which makes me think it's something about you, Christine." Bringing his other hand up to wrap around hers too. "But it's fitting, in a way, that I find a treasure others overlook."

Were it not you, I would also not welcome it.

She closes the space between them to drape her arms around his shoulders.

"Just going to hug you for a minute, then we can work."

I have an extremely selective heart, much less letting anyone really close. He'd been hurt too many times over. Christine was new, in that she was a risk worth taking in his eyes.

"Of course." Holding that hug, leaning his forehead against hers as he wrapped his arms around her.

My heart is big but my affections are selective.

She might be extremely caring, but in terms of romantic interest she's always been quite selective.

"I haven't had one nightmare when you're sleeping next to me."

"I'm glad. I am...used to being lonely, but it is far more unpleasant now." Kissing her hair, just gonna hold her a bit tighter too. Wrapping himself around her, his mind around hers as well. Holding that moment.

"We should get to work though." Reluctant, but necessary. "We're going to start, by having you vanish it. You'll want to pick a place it should go to, since you'll need to picture it solidly in your mind."

It feels so nice to be embraced like this. And they steal this little moment before she kisses him and steps away.

"Can I use the drawer I've been keeping it in? I already sort of identify that as it's home."

"Then that's perfect." If she was already thinking of that place as where it belonged, it would be easier. "So now, what you want to do, is visualize it in your mind. Make it as clear and strong a picture as you can."

Holding out a hand, he manifested one of his daggers. "Now, holding your dagger, you want to imagine that drawer. Imagine your dagger being in that drawer--vanishing from your hand, and reappearing in its home." Loki let his dagger vanish in a shimmer of green-gold, to reappear on the coffee table.

She pays attention to his demonstration before getting her dagger to try it herself.

It takes her a few long minutes of focusing, and visualizing before the dagger fades from view and her hand is empty again.

"Very good. Now do it again." Much like the other times he'd trained her, Loki was thorough. He wasn't going to let them move on until she could do this as fast as he could.

The second time is a bit quicker and the third faster yet.

She keeps at it until the dagger is gone in a blink.

"Good." Loki praised from where he watched her. "There isn't as much 'surprise' here, since it'll be obvious you already have a dagger--but better to get rid of any evidence swiftly, hmm?" Loki had left his own dagger on the table too.

"To call it to you is much the same, but in reverse. You want to visualize it clearly, then focus your will on the dagger appearing in your hand." Holding his own empty hand out, he showed her as his dagger manifested in a shimmer of green-gold.

"Am I learning to get away with murder?" She laughs.

Summoning it to her happens much quicker, she visualizes the dagger, and can feel its weight in her hand before it materializes there with a shimmer of magic.
